Benstock and Congressman Charles Rangel spent the day interacting with community leaders and proud residents.

Together with American Honda, Brian Benstock and Paragon Honda participated in the 22nd Annual Upper Manhattan Auto Show, “Honoring the History of the Automobile.” Held on Sunday, August 21st, the auto show is one of the most exciting events featured during Harlem Week, an annual initiative of the Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce. The show was held on Sunday, August 21st, and featured a parade through the heart of Harlem.

Benstock and others from the Paragon Honda team spent the day interacting with residents of Harlem and public figures who all came together to celebrate the 22nd annual auto show. Benstock met with Congressman Charles Rangel, later saying: “Congressman Rangel truly loves Harlem, and he represents the interests of the community without question.”

 

Paragon Honda brought two all-new 2012 Honda Civics to display during the auto show. American Honda’s and Paragon Honda’s participation in this event was an example of how American Honda dealers and Japanese Honda manufacturers are working together to recover after the earthquake that took place in Japan earlier this year, bringing vehicle production to a drastic halt. Last April, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Japanese Foreign Minister Takeaki Matsumoto announced that their two governments have agreed to establish a public-private partnership for the reconstruction of Japan. Benstock also met with Yasuhisa Kawamara, Deputy Consul General of Japan in New York.

“Paragon Honda’s participation in this highly celebrated event was key to continuing our commitment to our community and customers,” said Benstock, who is Vice President and General Manager of Paragon Honda. “It was a great day spent alongside a very enthusiastic community, and with those key players who work so diligently to provide a safe, enjoyable environment for its residents.”
