Monkey formula

Human Mind is compared to a monkey, just as a monkey changes its position from one

position to another, so does our human mind.

Monkey jumps from one branch or tree to another without falling down that too holding

on to its little one.

Is that easy?

Yes - A monkey does that with ease.

So let us see how as a human we could also keep moving and going up to greater heights.

For this one has to cross 4 levels.

First level

We must sense our mistakes. If we don’t understand our mistakes, we will not overcome it. We feel that whatever we

do is correct. We continue to live with those mistakes and don’t show any improvements.

Second level

After sensing our mistakes, we must take mentally decide to overcome it. We know some of them or some may be

pointed out by our friends / colleagues.

Third level

Once we have decided we must act and take steps to clear those mistakes.

Fourth level

Once we have overcome we must next continue to keep becoming perfect.

Our aim must be to attain the Fourth level.

To come to level four, we have to clear the first hurdle --- sense and understand mistakes.

The above four levels are called

Unconscious incompetence

Conscious incompetence

Conscious competence

Unconscious competence.

As long as jumping is concerned, a monkey has attained the fourth level. Birds sit on the branch, not just because

the branch is strong, but because it has the confidence to fly even if the branch breaks down. So is a monkey, it

has confidence to jump from one place to other, for which it has practised well. Magicians do their magic just in

three or four minutes, for which they have practised so well.

An adult can walk fast, but cannot crawl fast, whereas a child crawls fast. It is because of practice. While

practising, there could be unexpected risks. But one should continue to practise. It is always more comfortable to

keep things as they are. Unless we take risks, we cannot succeed in life.

But once again we must also learn to mitigate risks. Monkeys would not jump very long distances or on to trees with

thorns. It keeps its target very clearly, similarly we should also keep our aim very clearly. To reach our aim we must

have confidence and continue to practise. We do exercise to keep ourselves fit, but we should continue to

exercise to be always fit.

Practice is like a friend. You may show enmity against your friend due to inability or laziness. But he is your well

wisher. Continuous practice is the distance between your aim and you. Our mind and body get sharper by

practice. It keeps you going ahead . Practice plays a vital role when we are in doubt of succeeding ,it creates

enthusiasm ,it is an art - so keep practicing .
