OBJECTIVES
The general objectives of the seminar are to give a complete overview of all aspects of breast cancer, by examining the problems encountered by a woman with breast cancer and the relationship between healthcare professionals and the patient, with particular regard to the psychological suffering of both patient and healthcare professional (burn out), and to make healthcare professionals aware that treatment should take into consideration all aspects of the human being, including spiritual, as suggested by the World Health Organisation.
PARTICIPANTS
The seminar is open to doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals with an interest in breast care.
The Seminar has been submitted to the Italian Ministry of Health for approval (event no. 62-9031368) by Prof Giorgio Giannone of Garibaldi Hospital, Catania.
12 Continuing Medical Education points have been awarded by the Medical Association of Malta.
Certificates will contribute towards the Continuing Professional Development scheme.
