ORIGIN OF BRAZILIAN DANCES
The Music Brazilian music encompasses various regional styles influenced by African , European and Amerindian forms . After 500 years of history, Brazilian music developed some unique and original styles such as samba, bossa nova, sertanejo, pagode, tropicalia, choro, maracatu, embolada… and Brazilian versions of foreing genres such as Brazilian rock and rap.
SAMBA
Developed in Brazil during the 19th century, the Samba is considered the dance of celebration and joy at Carnival parade in Rio.

Capoeira is a martial art that combines elements of fight, acrobatics, music, dance and rituals in a very elegant and magnetic way. Performed by two people, it is often called a “game” that is played, not fought.

It is known that Capoeira was created nearly 500 years ago in Brazil by African slaves (mainly from Angola). Taken from their homes against their will and kept in slavery, they started inventing fighting techniques for self-defense.

BAIAOBaiao is a danceable beat and very influyent from the north of Brazil.
The Baiao emerged from the folk dance Baiano, who comes from the word Bay.
