From: A&S Assistant to Department Chair [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Drashti Bhatt Sent: Monday, December 07, 2015 8:06 AM To: [email protected] Subject: FW: Very well done phishing attempt Hello Everyone, Every once and a while a phishing attempt is very well done and we wanted to bring your attention to one this morning. The security team has been actively involved in thwarting phishing attempts sent to our environment and a new tactic was used this morning. They have faked one of the ITS security team’s credentials to make a convincing phishing email. We have blocked the link on the UNL campus, but please let your staff know the following message didn’t come from Cheryl. Always be vigilant in looking for phishing attempts even if the message seems to come from reputable people. If in doubt, please contact your tech person or e‐mail me at [email protected]
