Mission StatementThe Bratzke Freshman Leadership Academy aims to influence and shape the young minds of rising colonels into the minds of serving leaders. Our mission is to educate, engage and empower Student-Athletes with effective leadership skills in order for them to make a positive impact in athletics, the community and the lives of others.

The Bratzke Student-Athlete Academic Success Center is sincerely excited to share our new, cutting edge Bratzke Freshman Leadership Academy program that will provide you with the opportunity to become an exceptional leader. EKU is now offering this first-class program exclusively to freshman to provide quality education that will enable you to develop the skills necessary to become a leader for your team, as well as in the classroom, community and your personal life.

As you know, collegiate athletics are becoming more and more competitive and it is our mission, as Student-Athlete Development professionals, to provide you with the greatest possibilities for you to become the most successful student-athlete you can be. As freshman, it is crucial that you cultivate your Emotional Intelligence, Moral Intelligence, and understand your leadership perspective. This is also a pivotal time for you to focus on your strengths and discover your passion in life. We are committed to helping you achieve these four disciplines before moving on to your sophomore year.

We are looking forward to supporting you in your academic and athletic endeavors as you settle into the Colonel family.
