IRON MAN 3Teaser Poster

Here the teaser poster doesn’t need the title “IRON MAN” for a reason because, you look at it and you see the star Robert Downey Jr. and all of the suits from the original made in the first film, then the concept sliver armour, and the others from the second film too. This is an iconic image because of the IRON MAN suits being shown, also it’s showing you that he’s inside his main lobby room where he keeps his armour in a way of a collection of trophies and similar versions.

The floor is different though than to the other films and it shows like there is either a hanger underneath or a lift, which is used in the film to store his new armour.

IRON MAN 3The Official Movie Poster

In the poster the armour helmet is off so you can see the main star of the feature, as the iconic image of Iron man is usually with the whole armour. His fist is enclosed which represents aggression in his emotive feeling. The right arm also shows part of the armour is broken from his shoulder down to his hand which shows a rough battle has been at hand. The building in the background is Tony Starks home, it’s fallen apart blown to pieces, this symbolises the characters state and part of the films synopsis. The suits in the background show they’re under remote control via Starks computer system Jarvis, though if the audience were to look at this poster you would think they have attacked him because of his visual state.

IRON MAN 3Magazines advertised

This Entertainment magazine has a representation of the two characters in a relationship in the film so far, the caption IRON GIANTS represents the movie IRON MAN by the sentence; “PALTROW and DOWNEY Suit Up - and Sparks Fly - in IRON MAN 3.”The magazine also shows 3 other pictures of MARVEL’s biggest heroes.

The EMPIRE magazine advertises “The ORIGINAL

AVENGER” as IRON MAN 3 is released after the great 2012 film The AVENGERS Assemble. Robert Downey Jr. Is the main star in the film and character

of Tony Stark which means with him being on the front of

the magazine it represents him as a bold character. Iron

Man is well known via cartoons, films, games,

MARVEL’s Comics etc. The film has been one of the biggest

things that hit MARVEL including The AVENGERS

Assemble film and the sequel to Avengers Assemble.

IRON MAN 3Differences between a teaser poster and the official poster:

The teaser poster doesn’t really show the title of the film, who’s written it, directed it, produced it and distributed it. Though it does show the MARVEL logo at the bottom right corner, this is because it owns the rights of the storyline of IRON MAN. The 3 represents the 3rd film is on it’s way especially with the date. The main picture is what makes you know it’s an IRON MAN movie because there’s Tony and there’s all of his suits.

The official movie poster has the full title of the film including all of the cast listed and the exact date May 3rd 2013, whereas the teaser poster says March 5th 2013, which means it was still in process. Most likely distribution, this is because a few films may find it hard to find a film company to distribute it.

The image is also different which is Tony on part of a floating debris, which is part of the film where his home basically gets blown to bits by terrorists and he doesn’t float on a debris, but sinks to the ocean floor then reboots the system and flies out of the scene.

IRON MAN 3Advertisement

MARVEL films are advertised in many different ways mainly through there

website, film official websites, YouTube, Facebook, TV ads, magazines and other

DVDs they’ve sold.

There products are also advertised through merchandise, kids toys, android

apps, video games and comics. This is resulted through the first IRON MAN

movie which released a video game and the 2nd IRON MAN movie “IRON MAN 2” which also had a video game released.

On there official website marvel.com, MARVEL have a movies tab on the

navigation bar, which shows all the latest movies released and ones still in

production. They also have an official movie site which you can find on Google

search.

IRON MAN 3Like most films that come to the big screen, IRON MAN 3 also has it’s merchandise which backs it up such as Kids action figures, video games and phone mobile apps. Video games of the films are on PS3 and Xbox 360, these were IRON MAN and IRON MAN 2 whereas the third film doesn’t appear to have a game on the main games consoles.

Video games also help advertise a movie further,

which gets more buyers for when the film releases,

more tickets sold and a good reputation for the

game developer too. The official game is on android

phones and costs roundabouts £4.79.

Distributors of each film

IRON MAN and IRON MAN 2 was distributed by paramount pictures, the two films all together were nominated 3 Oscars, 2 from IRON MAN, 1 from IRON MAN 2.The two films were also rather successful and I myself think that because they both have a great storyline and it’s good for sequels as every film is great in a way.

IRON MAN 3 was distributed by Walt Disney Pictures now either Paramount

were busy or they couldn’t get them to distribute the 3rd film, though usually a 3rd

film to a series of them occasionally go quite bad though I highly disagree with

that as any film can be successful, so IRON MAN 3 was distributed by Walt Disney and

so is the next Thor film, Thor: The Dark World, meaning Walt Disney must be

working with MARVEL studios.
