OUR NAMEUse “First Pentecostal” when identifying the church in writing. This is the official trade name for our church.

THE LOGOThe logo represents a span from generation to generation. There are a lot ofmodern design trends followed in the logo while still holding on to some of the traditional, more classic approach.

The use of the script font in “first” is a strong hold on tradition. It’s classy andand represents unity as all letters are held together by a single line. The word“first” is written without allowing the pen to leave the page, signifying our continued commitment to the vision and mission laid out by our solid past.

The san serif font used for “Pentecostal” is our bridge to the present. San serifis the most widely used font style in branding today. The logo reads FirstPentecostal while at the same time clearly displaying our tagline, “PentecostalGeneration to Generation”.

The forward tilt to the logo implies that while we hold onto and cherish ourheritage, we are constantly marching forward. We believe that the prize comesonly when we are pressing towards.

“First United Pentecostal Church of Jacksonville” may be used for more formal, legal communications, such as contracts and copyright. This is the legal name and registered trademark of our church.

THE LOGOMARKWe are Apostolic and by being Apostolic, we believe that we hold claim tobeing a part of the first church established by the Apostles. We adhere totheir doctrine and continue in their mission to reach all of the world withthe gospel of Jesus Christ.

We also believe that everything we do at First Pentecostal must be first class.Our logomark can be used by itself as well as joined with future departmentalbranding. (ie. First Kids)

LOGO MISUSEAnyone caught in violation of the branding guidelines and displaying ourlogo as below will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and punishedwith a $500 fine and up to 5 years in prison.

No, seriously though, please review the different ways not to display ourlogo. If you are needing the logo resized to fit your project, please contact our creative team and they will get you the appropriate logo,in the appropriate size and color.

It’s words.It’s images.It’s experiences.

Ultimately, it’s a gut feeling. As First Pentecostal grows, it is vital that our art, media, and communication create impressions that draw people into the church and a relationship with Jesus Christ.

These guidelines aren’t just a bunch of rules. They’re a set of principles and standards that help our staff, volunteers, and contractors communicate our mission clearly and consistently.

Everything we create should be consistent with what a person will actually experience at First Pentecostal. We can set the tone, but when we lean too hard on our own preferences, or skew too trendy, we build false expectations.
