We are a locally owned and operated practice with more than 25

years of combined experience in hospice care. Our founding

directors are not just silent or absent partners in an entity, but

healthcare practitioners who are intimately involved in the delivery

of all hospice-related services. Working closely with patients and

their families and caregivers, our interdisciplinary team of

physicians, nurses, counselors, and other medical professionals help patients live with their symptoms under control, in comfort

and dignity.

Hospice Associates also has a music therapist available in certain areas. The American Music Therapy Association defines music

therapy as "...an established healthcare profession that uses music to address physical, emotional, cognitive and social needs of

individuals of all ages." Music therapy improves quality of life by treating pain, anxiety, depression and dementia through the use

of live, patient-preferred music. Research has shown that music reduces the perception of pain, decreases nausea, and improves

mood. Sound is the last outside sensation that registers with a dying patient. Some techniques utilized include lyric

analysis/discussion, live singing/instrumental, music relaxation, and personal recording for legacy.

An Extended Family Awaits At

Williamsburg

In October 1987, Williamsburg Senior Living Community opened its

doors to the community. Our goal is to ensure that residents feel comfortable in a warm and friendly atmosphere without the hassle of

home maintenance.

Apart from our warm and friendly staff, we also try to make our residents

comfortable in their new home. We started in 1987 with 120 Independent

Living apartments. In February 1997, we added 43 Assisted Living apartments to care for residents needing support with activities

of daily living.

We have created an environment where residents are family. We understand the importance for the golden years to be stress free

and filled with love and companionship. Williamsburg provides just that! Our team is dedicated to our residents and we are

passionate about what we do.

Williamsburg Senior Living Community offers spacious studio, one and two bedroom apartments with fully equipped kitchens and a lot of closet space and natural light. Living at Williamsburg is lively. Daily Scheduled activities such as lunch outings,

shopping trips, movies, games, crafts, daily exercise sessions, parties and educational seminars bring residents together for

neighborly fun. Williamsburg’s beautiful chapel has both Protestant services and Catholic masses. There is a unisex hair salon in

the community and grocery shopping next door.

Williamsburg’s efficient housekeeping, kitchen and dining room staff, as well as our personal care attendants, provide outstanding cleaning service, appetizing meals and resident assistance in a respectful and courteous manner. Scheduled medical transportation

to doctors’ appointments is available five days a week.
