    Month Book - Universal Mathematics Activities April/May Unit 1 Numbers

    Unit 2 Addition

    Forming greatest and smallest 4-digit number by picking any four cards out of the given number cards that are numbered from 0 to 9. Also the groups of three students each will

    be asked to arrange their respective numbers in ascending/descending order.

    Activity of regrouping using coloured ear buds.

    July Unit 3 Subtraction Activity using coloured ear buds to strengthen the concept of borrowing while doing subtraction.

    August Unit 4-Multiplication Multiplication Tambola.

    September Unit5 -Division

    Activity using empty muffins moulds / egg tray and some beads. Students have to divide the number of beads (asked by the teacher) equally into the empty slots of tray or

    moulds to find out quotient or remainder.

    October Unit 6 - Fractions

    To find out the fraction of a collection using beads wherein students will have a collection of 60 beads and they will find out the number of beads based on the fraction

    called out by the teacher.

    November Unit 9 -Measurement Activity to find out different combinations that make up the given quantity using

    dummy weight.

    December Unit11- Money

    Unit 7 - Geometry

    Activity using artificial currency notes and coins to find out different combinations that makes up the given amount of money (as told by teacher).

    Speaking up the properties of the 3 d shapes with a demonstration of the same.

    January Unit 10- Time Activity using a clock and tooth picks. Make a clock on an A4 sheet and then show the given time using tooth picks as hands of the clock.
