Applications Controlled By Thoughts

Gyroscope enables a cursor or camera to be controlled by head movements.

The headset uses wi-fi to connect to a computer.

Sensors respond to the impulses behind different thoughts; enabling the brain to influence gameplay directly.

Conscious thoughts, facial expressions, and non-conscious emotions can all be detected.

It’s Science Fiction Becoming Reality?

Thought control is a something we need to worry about?

Can we learn subjects and adquire skills just uploading software into our mind?

Could the science read our brain and predict our future thoughts?

Could the science delete or record selective memories?

Advances x Limitations

The brain is incredibly complex. To say that all thoughts or actions are the result of simple electric signals in the brain is a gross understatement.

The signal is weak and interferences can happen. Read brain signals is like listening to a bad phone connection.

There are chemical process involved as well, wich electrodes can’t pick up.

A few companies are pioneers in the field of BCI. Most of them are still in the research stages, though a few products are offered commercially.
