The Authority had granted us the above subject generation facilities located at 38-KM-Faisalabad-Shekhupura Road. We will like to inform you that we are in the process of expansion of our existing power generation facilities of by adding additional

units to cater the growing load requirement of our group companies. The proposed

addition will result in enhancement of our installed capacity, requiring a modification in our granted Generation Licence.

(2). In view of the above, we hereby communicate to you an LPM in accordance

with Regulation 10 of the National Electric Power Regulatory authority licensing

(application and modification procedure) Regulations, 1999 (the Regulations) as detailed below:-

(a). The text of the proposed modification;

At present our installed capacity is 31.80 MW [consisting of 6 x 5.80 MW

Diesel Generating (D.G.) Sets operating on Residual Furnace Oil]. We

plan to add another 26.50 (5 x 5.30 MW D.G.) which will increase our Installed Capacity to 58.30 MW.

(b). A statement of the reasons in support of the modification;

Our group plans to install another Polyester Staple Fiber Plant at our facilities at 38-KM Faisalabad-Shekhupura Road. Being a sensitive chemical unit requiring uninterrupted power supply for its operation, we

plan to enhance the installed capacity of our above mentioned generation facility by installing more D.G. sets as explained above.

(c). A statement of the impact on the tariff, quality of service and the performance by the licensee of its obligations under the licence.

The proposed enhancement in capacity will not have any impact on our tariff as we are operating the above generation facility for feeding our own units of Ibrahim Fibers Limited. The proposed addition will result in better quality of service for IFL as not only we will be able to serve the growing load of our units but it will result in more flexibility of the plant operation. All these factors mentioned will definitely improve our performance as Licensee.

(3). As stipulated in Regulation 10 (3) of the Regulations, we are also sending you a demand draft amounting to Rs. 2,39,408/- after tax adjustment as per law as our enhancement in cacpity falls in the band of 20.00 MW — 50.00 MW.

(4). In order to facilitate you in processing of our LPM, We are also attaching expansion plant details as per Standard Perfroma used by NEPRA wherein the changes have been marked in Red. A copy of our Generation License is also attached for your information and ready reference.

(5). In view of above, it is requested that our LPM for Generation Licence may be processed. We will be pleased to furnish any other information required in this regard. Thanking you for your understanding and consideration.
