HOW TO OBTAIN YOUR BRAG SCHOLARSHIP

Once you have selected a college to attend; please provide the Financial Aid Officer at your school with: SECTION A (Consent to Release Form) and SECTION B (Financial Aid Evaluation Form) included in this packet.

You will need to fill out Section A, authorizing the Financial Aid officer to release the information requested on Form Section B.

Please ask your Financial Aid Officer to fill out Section B immediately and forward it to the BRAG Office at the address on the bottom of the form.

In certain cases we will ask you to have section B sent directly to the BRAG Scholarship Co-Chair (only when specifically requested by a BRAG Scholarship Co-Chair).

When we receive Section B completely filled out; we will process your scholarship check.

Please understand that all scholarship monies will be sent directly to the Financial Aid Officer to be applied to your account for tuition, books, and supplies. (computers not included).

As you can see, this process will take some time; so it is vitally important that you don’t wait until your tuition is due to begin the process.

For students at the High School of Fashion Industries, we will schedule a meeting with each of you before you graduate in May or June of each year, to review this procedure before you go off to college.

The BRAG organization, awards scholarships annually to individuals for study at accredited colleges and universities. Applicants are considered on the basis of character, scholastic ability, educational goals, and financial need. Funds are limited, and the competition for scholarship is keen.

BRAG appreciates the role of the Financial Aid Officer and places emphasis on the information you provide. It is important that our applicants provide realistic estimates of the cost of attending your institution.
