Wind Power

• Some electricity is made from wind. Wind turbines look like wind mills but they make electricity and have powerful batteries.

Static ElectricityStatic electricity is really cool because if you rub a balloon or a pen against your head it will stick to things and that’s the electricity that makes your hair stick up.

Circuit Electricity

A current is the way electricity flows. For a current to flow it needs a circuit or a loop to flow through and force from a power source such as a battery to push it along.

How to Make a Simple circuit

• 3 lengths of insulated wire 2 batteries [AA sized] small lightbulb in a holder insulating tape

• 1. Strip the ends of each wire to show 1cm of copper wire. Tape one end of two of the wires to either end of one battery

• 2. tape the loose ends of the two wires to either side of the lightbulb holder. Does the light come on? yes
