Located at the heart of historical Downtown, Public School #16 is home to a wonderfully diverse and multicultural community of families.

At PS16 parents work in a close partnership with the principal, teachers and staff, as well as the Board of Education and members of the local community to create the best possible learning environment for the students. Together we aspire to help our children achieve academic excellence as well as build character, helping them become true citizens of the world and leaders of tomorrow.

!THE CPA of PS16

The Concerned Parents Association is a non-profit corporation, led by a Board of elected volunteers who spearhead fundraising projects for the school and the children to provide an enhanced educational experience.

CPA sponsors and manages a variety of annual projects such as the After School Program of Extracurricular Classes, Fall Family Movie Night, talent shows, appreciation benefits, seasonal events, “Learn & Earn Fundraiser”, the Student Garden Project and many more.

We consider all parents Concerned Parents, therefore we do not have a membership drive. We do, however, ask you to donate and volunteer for specific projects which we will announce throughout the year.

Recommended Donation: $20.00 per child

You can donate at any time during the school year, by placing your donation in an envelope and returning to a CPA officer or to your child’s teacher.

Checks and Money Orders should be made out to “CPA of PS16”.
