Fireworks Week

Starfish have talked about staying safe

around fire and created lots of lovely artwork inspired the fireworks we have seen.

Remembrance Service 11.11.19 You should have received a letter during the week informing you about Dolphin and Shark class visits to Walcott church on Monday 11th November 1:15-3:05 for a remembrance service. End of school day time should be as usual.

‘together aspire, together achieve, together we are stronger...’

In the Paper This week reception have appeared in the North Norfolk News. This is part of their First class supplement where different reception classes across North Norfolk send in photos. It is safe to say we are the smallest reception cohort in the paper.

Teach Your Monster To Read This is an app that can be used online, on android and apple devices. It has been free to download this week and is free to play online. It works through the different phonics phases and the children learn through games. This will help support both children’s reading and spelling, linking to the new Bacton Current.

Parents evening Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st November are the dates for our autumn term parent evenings. Booking times now available online on the school website. PLease sign up for an appointment for an update on your child’s progress and attainment.

Cooking time!!! It’s getting colder...time for some comfort

food! What could be better than a delicious

apple crumble? You can peel and chop the

apples while your children get messy and

make the crumble! Serve it with custard and

eat it round the table together! Yummy!

Get arty! I love making this with the children at school!

It’s so easy and they love getting a bit messy.

The good thing about it too is that, unlike play

dough, you can bake their creations in the

oven and then paint or decorate them later.

Great for presents for family and friends and

also for decorations you can hang up for

different occasions. Have fun!

School Term dates - 2019/2020 & 2020/2021 Please check the bottom of the newsletter for this year’s and the following year’s term dates. We are currently consulting on the dates for 2020/2021 due to it being slightly different to Norfolk’s calendar however we have included our proposal to give those who are planning future trips plenty of notice. In 2020/2021 where we plan to come back early in September, the school will provide transport for those children who normally use the county bus.
