BPN RV PHYSIOUTHSAVA 2012 planned as a Karnataka State Level Physiotherapy Conference to celebrate the 50th year of knowledge in physiotherapy with physiotherapy students and prac�cing physiotherapists.

Bangalore Physiotherapists Network is a non‐poli�cal gathering of physiotherapist in Bangalore with the objec�ve of promo�ng and protec�ng physiotherapy prac�ce and physiotherapist rights by knowing each other and being together. BPN ini�a�ve started on 2010 and keeps promo�ng the awareness about physiotherapy to all stake holders and also promo�ng knowledge sharing among physiotherapists.

The workshop offers the par�cipants both the theore�cal founda�ons and prac�cal applica�ons of various treatment op�ons to treat myofascial trigger points. It includes hands on training on Trigger point palpa�on , Myofascial release technique, Posi�onal release technique , Muscle energy techniques, Individual Muscle work , Intramuscular Dry Needling.

Intramuscular Dry Needling:

Dry needling technique is uniquely a new form of treatment u�lized for trigger point release. It is widely prac�ced in Western Countries, Australia and it was well accepted to be falling under the scope of physiotherapy. Dry needling technique works purely on the well proved scien�fic basis, which is totally dis�nct from Acupuncture. Various randomized controlled trials and one systemic review has supported the use of the dry needling for relieving trigger points. The clinician would find dry needling as a most effec�ve and quickest way of relieving trigger point pain.
