AMENDING #$R TE PURP$SE PRESIDENTIA! DECREE NUMBEREDNINE.

Se&'(o) 1.Paragraph three of Presidential Decree Numbered Nine is herebyamended to read as follows:

"3. It is unlawful to carry outside of one's residence any bladed, pointed or bluntweapon such as "nife", "spear", "pana", "dagger", "bolo", "barong", "ris", or"chao", e!cept where such articles are being used as necessary tools orimplements to earn a lielihood or in pursuit of a lawful actiity. #ny person foundguilty thereof shall suffer the penalty of imprisonment of not less than one monthnor more than one year or a fine of not less than $wo %undred Pesos nor morethan $wo $housand Pesos, or both such imprisonment and fine as the &ourt maydirect."

Se&'(o) 2.#rticle twentytwo of the (eised Penal &ode shall apply to personspreiously conicted under paragraph three of Presidential Decree NumberedNine.

Se&'(o) *.#ny law or ordinance which is inconsistent herewith is herebyrepealed. |avvphil.n+
