Boxcopy is currently seeking and accepting proposals from artists, curators, writers and experimental musicians to be considered for our 2020 Exhibition Program, ‘Sound Offerings’ Performances, and ‘The Sink Commission’ Gallery Engagements
Our goal is to support artists to experiment and play, to build new critical dialogues and creative collaborations. We provide exhibition space rent-free as well as installation assistance, gallery minding and marketing.
All applications are due by midnight 22nd December, 2019.

BOXCOPY BOXCOPYexhibition program
Boxcopy presents a curated program of exhibitions by early career and more established artists, who work across diverse media including moving image, sound, performance and installation. As an artist-run initiative, we embrace experimentation, collaborative processes and a d.i.y. approach to contemporary art practice. We are looking for exhibition proposals for our space at 16 Merivale St, South Brisbane, which includes two gallery spaces. Proposals should note preference of either Gallery 1, 2 or both. Proposals which include public programming, performances or events will be highly competitive.
submission requirements:
* Proposal - maximum 1 A4 page (300-500 words approx.) outlining your exhibition concept, number of works and any install requirements, as well as gallery and month of preference
* CV - maximum 1 A4 page outlining relevant experience* 5-10 labelled images (72dpi) presented as a single PDF with applicable
links to your professional website, YouTube, Vimeo or Soundcloud

BOXCOPYSound Offerings is our monthly program that invites sound artists and experimental musicians to produce an evening of listening. These performances are usually held in our gallery space or with a partner institution. We are also open to less conventional settings for these performances.
We are looking for proposals from artists and experimental musicians which critically explore sound, music and ideas around listening. Proposals should outline the conceptual concerns of your performance or sound work as well as any technical or install requirements. submission requirements:
* Proposal - maximum 1 A4 page (300 words approx.) outlining your Sound Offering work and month of preference
* CV - maximum 1 A4 page outlining relevant experience* 2-5 labelled images (72dpi) of relevant images or previous performance or sound work
documentation AND/OR links to up to 3 audio works on Soundcloud, Youtube or Vimeo, presented as a single PDF.

BOXCOPYBoxcopy is seeking proposals for experimental engagements with The Sink located in Gallery 1. We are looking for brief proposals that describe an idea or potential activation of this unique element of our gallery space.
Works made for The Sink Commission will be installed, documented and de-installed in one day. The work will be accessible from Boxcopy’s newly constructed website, as photographic, video or audio documentation. Proposals that engage with The Sink as a material object, conceptual framework or site for art making will be highly regarded.
