This introduction to knitting shows you how to get started on a colourful scarf. Walk away with your own knitting needles.Papermation: Wacky Winter Sports – Use paper and the stop motion process to write and create your very own movie. BYO lunch.Street Art Aerosol Project – Under the guidance of street artist Michael Fikaris, master the art of aerosol stencils while learning about Melbourne’s amazing street art scene. Over three sessions, work with others to design and complete a mural on the water tanks near the entrance of Box Hill Community Arts Centre. BYO lunch.Sci Kids Science and Art – Learn how the principles of mathematics, geometry and art can be used together to create your own unique and wonderful masterpieces!Circus Stars – Run away with the circus and learn 16 amazing circus tricks including hula hooping, juggling, rhythmic ribbons and acro balance. At the end of the class, perform in a spectacular circus show for friends and family in our wonderful Arbour Hall.

The Secret World of Pets, Tuesday 28 JuneLet’s celebrate all the fantastic things we love about our pets – create purrfect cats and awesome dogs out of clay, bake yummy hedgehog slice in the kitchen and make a colourful portrait of your favourite animal friend!Footy Fever! Friday 1 JulyCome along in your team colours (from the sporting code of your choosing) and create your own masterpiece after Sidney Nolan’s famous painting ‘Footballer’. Build and decorate a ceramic pencil holder with your favourite team’s jersey and bake delicious sausage rolls in the kitchen. Go team go!Prehistoric Adventure, Tuesday 5 JulyTravel back in time to when dinosaurs ruled the world! Learn to draw a terrific triceratops or T-Rex, create a Jurassic world using collage and make a spectacular stegosaurus out of clay.Winter Wonderland, Friday 8 July Brrr! It’s chilly out! Warm up inside by baking chocolate snowballs in the kitchen, making magnificent polar bears out of clay and painting your very own winter landscape inspired by Munch or Monet.

Enrolment Information Payment must be made at time of booking for all sessions.

Please arrive on time for all sessions as they commence with a demonstration by the tutor.

All classes for children aged six years and over are for children only. Parents should not stay in the classroom but are welcome to wait elsewhere in the centre.

Refunds will only be considered more than seven days prior to commencement of a class. Refunds will not be given once classes commence without a medical certificate or where there are exceptional circumstances.

An administration fee of $5 per class applies to refunds.

Please bring a smock for all clay and art classes. Please bring an apron and a container for all cooking classes.

Registration Forms must be completed for all participants under 18 years old. Complete the form online at www.bhcac.com.au. Hard copies are available from the BHCAC Office.

Dance – Fun and energetic, learn dance moves to your favourite hits. Please wear pants and runners (no skirts or loud shoes). BYO water bottle. Dramacraze Adventure! – Want to put on a play in half a day? In this workshop kids will choose their own adventure and work towards a performance for parents. Play theatre games, learn great improvisational skills and create interesting characters. BYO snack and water bottle. Mini Master Cooks – Measure, stir, taste and cook delicious meals. BYO apron and container.Family Clay – Families work together to create a unique project for your home. Suitable for families with children 6 years plus.Family Mosaic – Families work together to create a gorgeous mosaic paver for the garden. This workshop runs over two sessions.
