HistoryAfter 70 years in cultivation of flower bulbs, we started in 1970 a wholesale company and the

preparation of iris, lily’s and tulips. A few years later we stopped with the flower bulb cultivation

of tulips. We have put our focus on preparation and on wholesale of iris, lily and gladiolus.

A few years later we set up a program concerning iris breeding. In 2000 we started with lily

breeding. In 2006 we took over colleague gladiolus exporter. Our main products now are iris,

lily and gladiolus. For all these products, we have test programs for better preparation and

preservation, to maintain good quality bulbs for whole year cultivation.

HistoriaDespués de 70 años en la producción de bulbos de flores. En 1970 se inicio la empresa

conocida hoy como BOT flowerbulbs, dedicada a la venta al por mayor de bulbos de iris, lilium

y tulipanes. Unos años más tarde se sacó del programa a los tulipanes. Para tener un enfoque

más especializado hacia iris y lilium. En el año 2000 iniciamos con el breeding de iris y en el año

2006 incorporamos al programa los bulbos de gladiolo. Ahora nuestros productos principales

son iris, lilium y gladiolo. Para cada uno de estos de tenemos un programa de mejoramiento en

preparación y conservación. Para tener unos bulbos de excelente calidad durante todo el año.

ИсторияИмея семидесятилетний опыт в выращивании цветочных луковиц, мы начали в 1970

году заниматься оптовой торговлей, а также подготовкой к реализации ирисов, лилий и

тюльпанов. Через несколько лет прекратили выращивание луковиц тюльпанов и полностью

сосредоточили внимание на подготовке и оптовой продаже ирисов, лилий и гладиолусов.

Через несколько лет запустили программу по разведению ирисов. В 2000 году начали

разведение лилий. В 2006 году присоединили предприятие, занимающееся экспортом

гладиолусов. Наша главная продукция теперь - ирисы, лилии и гладиолусы. На всю эту

продукцию мы имеем тестовые программы для лучшей подготовки и хранения, поддержания

хорошего качества луковиц на весь год выращивания.

IrisIris harvest begins in August. The harvested clean bulbs then come to our company, where

they undergo monitoring and quality checks. The bulbs will be stored at +30 degrees Celsius,

with a minimum of 2 weeks to a maximum of 50 weeks. Bulb iris is in a resting stage at

+30 degrees Celsius. After this resting stage the bulbs undergo a temperature treatment for

flowering, depending on the region, the plant date and the plant conditions. After all the

treatments the bulbs can be delivered to the customers with climate conditioned transport.

BOT Flower Bulbs has also developed a method for transport of iris by -1.5 degrees Celsius,

to combine the transport of the iris and the lilies, which enables an efficient transport.

IrisLa cosecha de iris empieza en Agosto. Los bulbos son traídos a nuestra compañía limpios y

seleccionados donde son sometidos a unas pruebas de monitoreo y de control de calidad.

Los bulbos son almacenados a una temperatura de 30 grados Celsius. Por mínimo dos semanas

y con un máximo de 50. Esto con el fin de mantener la etapa de reposo de los bulbos. Luego

se someten a un tratamiento térmico para inducir la floración. Este tratamiento depende de la

región, la fecha de plantación y las condiciones de la planta. Después que han sido realizados

todos los tratamientos en los bulbos de iris, estos son despachados a nuestros clientes en

transporte con temperaturas controladas. Un avance significativo que ha hecho BOT Flower Bulbs

es tener un método de transporte de iris a -1.5 grados. Esto con el fin de combinarlo con los

lilium. Lo que mejora eficientemente el transporte de estos dos productos.

ИрисыУрожай ирисов начинается в августе. Собранные чистые луковицы доставляются в нашу

компанию, где проходят контроль качества. Луковицы ириса находятся в стадии покоя

при температуре +30 градусов по Цельсию как минимум 2 недели и максимум 50 недель.

После стадии покоя луковицы проходят температурную обработку для цветения, зависящую

от региона предназначения, даты и условий посадки. После всей обработки луковицы

могут быть доставлены клиентам транспортом со специально предусмотренным

климатическим режимом. «БОТ-цветочные луковицы» также разработал метод для

перевозки ирисов при температуре -1,5 градусов по Цельсию. Это позволяет объединить

перевозку ирисов и лилий, делая ее более эффективной.

LiliumThe lilium harvest starts in October till December depending on the variety. On arrival of the

bulbs in our company, the bulbs will undergo a quality check. After these checks, they are

stored in the climate rooms. After acclimatisation the bulbs will be disinfected and packed for

long storage. The packing of the lilium is fully automatic. Thereafter our qualified staff perform

an extra after check. The lilium bulbs will be stored for a minimum of 6 weeks in cooling rooms

to interrupt their dormancy. The packed lilium bulbs are stored for a maximum of 13 months

before they are planted. The required freezing time will be calculated using sugar measurements.

LiliumLa cosecha de lilium inicia en el mes de octubre y dura hasta el mes de diciembre dependiendo

de la variedad. Cuando los bulbos llegan a nuestra compañía, son sometidos a distintas

pruebas de control de calidad. Después son guardados en cuartos climatizados. Y pasan al

cuarto de empaque donde son desinfectados en un proceso completamente sistematizado y

automático. Ya empacados vuelven a ser verificados con otros controles de calidad. Los lilium

son almacenados por al menos 6 semanas en cuartos fríos para interrumpir su periodo de

latencia. Los lilium empacados pueden durar congelados por un máximo de 13 meses antes

de que sean plantados. El tiempo de almacenamiento está medido por el contenido de azúcar

que contienen los bulbos.

После прибытия в нашу компанию, луковицы проходят проверку качества. После проверки

хранятся в климатической комнате. После акклиматизации проходят дезинфекционную

обработку и упаковываются для длительного хранения. Упаковка луковиц лилий полностью

автоматизирована. Наши квалифицированные сотрудники выполняют дополнительный

контроль. Луковицы лилий находятся в течение как минимум шести недель в холодильной

комнате для прекращения состояния покоя. Максимальный срок хранения упакованных

лилий - 13 месяцев до посадки. Необходимое время замораживания просчитывается

измерением сахара в луковицах.

GladiolusThe gladiolus harvest starts in November till December. On arrival of the bulbs in our company,

the bulbs will undergo a quality check. They will have an additional drying period. They finally

will be stored at 3 - 4 degrees Celsius. The gladiolus storage period can run up to a maximum

of 13 months. Bot flowerbulbs collaborates with a company specialized in gladiolus bulb. With

their assistance we select the plant material, that is exported to Syria, where the young material

will grow to the final deliverable bulb. Harvesting starts in November till December. We receive

the Syrian bulbs in February and in March in our company. These gladiolus bulbs have more

content, weight and quality because of the good climate conditions compared to the conditions

of the gladiolus bulbs of Dutch origin. Therefore Syrian gladiolus bulbs result into higher quality

flowers with a much bigger stem and a longer ear full with flowers.

GladioloLa cosecha de gladiolo empieza en Noviembre y termina en Diciembre. Cuando estos llegan a

nuestra compañía son sometidos a diferentes pruebas de calidad. Además tienen un período

de secado. Y son almacenados a 3 - 4 grados Celsius. Los gladiolos pueden ser guardados por

un tiempo máximo de 13 meses. BOT Flower Bulbs en asociación con una empresa especializada

en bulbos de gladiolo. Selecciona el material vegetal que va a ser exportado a Siria. Donde se

siembran y se desarrollan hasta convertirse en bulbos listos para la entrega. Allí la cosecha

también se realiza en los meses de Noviembre y Diciembre. Estos bulbos llegan a nuestra

compañía en Febrero o Marzo. Con niveles de calidad, peso y volumen mucho mayores que los

de origen holandés. Esto se logra por las excelentes condiciones climáticas de Siria. Por eso

garantizamos que los bulbos de gladiolo tienen como resultado una mejor calidad con tallos

más largos totalmente llenos de flores.

ГладиолусыУрожай гладиолусов собирается с ноября по декабрь. После прибытия в нашу компанию,

луковицы проходят проверку качества. Затем они подвергаются дополнительной сушке.

В конечном итоге они будут храниться при температуре 3 - 4 градуса по Цельсию. Период

хранения гладиолусов --максимум 13 месяцев. «БОТ-цветочные луковицы» сотрудничает

с компанией, специализирующейся на луковицах гладиолусов. С ее помощью мы выбираем

посадочный материал, который экспортируется в Сирию. Там из этого молодого материала

выращивают готовые луковицы. Сбор луковиц проводится с ноября по декабрь. Наша

компания получает сирийские луковицы в феврале и марте. Эти луковицы гладиолусов

имеют лучшие вес и качество благодаря оптимальным климатическим условиям

выращивания и хорошему посадочному материалу голландского происхождения. Как

результат, сирийские луковицы гладиолусов дают лучшее качество растений: гораздо

толще и длиннее стебель и более полное соцветие.

BOT-breedingResearch

In order to provide our customers with new and up-to-date cultivation advice, it is necessary to

keep on testing, when it comes to preparation programmes and climatic conditions. The plant

BOT-breeding is responsible for the research activities and therefore has all the facilities, like a

greenhouse and a laboratory. Beside trials of existing varieties, BOT-breeding develops new

varieties of iris and lily. The first new irises are available for trials. These new irises present a

better bloom and have a longer vase life. Please contact us, if you want to try these new irises
