N.E.H.S. COLLECTION DRIVE The National Elementary Honor Society is Hosting a collection drive for the Ronald McDonald House. The collection drive will go

through Tuesday, November 7th. Please see the wish list for the items they are n most critical need of right now. There are collection

boxes in the Upper Elementary, Lower Elementary, and High School buildings by the offices. Thank you for your support.

Dollar Doughnut Days MCS soccer will be selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts on

Tuesday mornings from 7:00-7:55. Glazed doughnuts will only be $1, and you can get yours in front of the

cafeteria! We will start Dollar Doughnut Days tomorrow!

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk

Registration Begins at 6:45am Walk Begins at 8:00 am

NHS BLOOD DRIVE The National Honor Society’s annual blood drive will be Wednesday November 1st beginning at 8:30 am in the auditorium. Students*, parents, faculty, and staff are

encouraged to donate. A sign-up sheet is located in Mrs. Anita Presley’s room, or you may

email apresley@mobilechristian.org to schedule a convenient time. To give blood you must be in good

health, 17 years or older (or 16 with parental permission),

weigh at least 110 pounds, and show a valid photo I.D.

WE NEED YOU & YOUR SHOE BOXES!! MCS will be helping the Samaritan’s Purse

Organization with Operation Christmas Child this year! We will be collecting items for shoe box gifts during

Spiritual Emphasis Week (November 13-17). Before then we NEED shoe boxes! If you have any shoe

boxes that you could donate please get them to Kara Hodges- guidance counselor in the high school

building. We will start collecting boxes immediately. Also, if you are interested in donating items for the shoe boxes you can start picking up those items

anytime. The more the better! But please do not send them until Spiritual Emphasis Week. We will not be

able to store them. This is a great way to teach children about giving and

helping others that are less fortunate!

List of Acceptable Items

A “WOW” toy: such as a doll, soccer ball (deflated) with pump, or stuffed animal; School Supplies: pencils, pens, crayons, notebooks, coloring books, etc.

Other Toys: Cars, puzzles, jump ropes, yoyos, craft ideas

Non-Liquid Hygiene Items: toothbrushes, bars of soap, washcloths, combs, etc.

Campbell’s Soup ‘Labels for Education’ will be discontinuing their program very soon. Please send in any labels you may have

Pecans for Sale The band is selling one pound bags of pecan

pieces and halves. The one pound bag of pieces or halves is $11. The last day to order pecans will be Friday, October 27th. The pecans will be

delivered no later than the week of November 13th. For the order to be placed, band must

receive payment with order. Please return the form with a check or cash to your child’s

homeroom teacher or the office in your child’s building.
