Down the mIf you stop getting better, you’ve stopped being good – Robert Bosch

For generations, Bosch home appliances have been making everyday life a bit easier.

We do some of the work for you and make sure that the housework is fi nished faster.

We give you more time and improve your quality of life.

Bosch is your side today and in the future with our home appliances.

We can’t cancel out every-day life for you.

But we can make it much easier for you – as Europe’s number one home appliance brand, we always offer abso-lute peak performance.

With our home appliances, we represent uncompromising quality, technical perfection and absolute reliability.

The start of our success story - the fi rst electric refrigerator from Bosch

In 1933, Bosch presented it’s fi rst home appliance in Germany.

The small electric refrigerator from Bosch had a capacity of 60 litres and took the market by storm at that time.

That achievement also ignited the future of home appliances.

By now, the Bosch corporation had more than 10,000 employees and oper-ated throughout the world – in the area of motor vehicle and industrial tech-nology.

Under the impact of the ‘Great De-pression’ of the late 1920s, new areas of business started opening up.

These included electric home appli-ances, which had previously only been found in large households and com-mercial operations.

In 1901, Robert Bosch built his fi rst factory in Stuttgart. It was a pioneering industrial building, with bright, well-ventilated produc-tion areas.

Prouds introduces Bosch white goods in Fiji

Fiji’s retail pioneers Prouds continues to inspire customers with world-class products.

And the latest addition to its line of home appliances is none other than Bosch – a name that stands for reliability, sustain-ability and well-engineered technologies.

Prouds chairman Kirit Patel says the company is proud to be partnering with Bosch New Zealand to give Fijian customers a totally new level of experience and comfort.

“Bosch home appliances set worldwide standards not only with their high-quality materials and pioneering precision, but also by means of their unmistakably clear design language which transfers high quality standards even into the smallest details, allowing the consumer to experience them with all the senses,” Mr Patel said.

“The design of Bosch home appliances always supports the function of each appliance, and focuses primarily on the user,” Mr Patel added.

He said Prouds will strive for the best to ensure Bosch reach-es as many Fijian homes as possible.

“What distinguishes Bosch home appliances from other brands is quality, durability, performance, German heritage since 1886 and continuous innovation in technology and re-search,” Mr Patel added.

“It is not coincidental that the brands advertising claim “In-vented for life” drives Bosch Home Appliances - it is the heart-felt conviction that pervades Bosch’s history, culture, business strategy and products.

“Since the company’s inception, Bosch has been developing innovations that serve people.

“For home appliances, it means giving people peace of mind for their daily life at home in a sustainable, resource saving manner for generations to come.

“Hence to increase awareness of energy and water effi ciency related to home appliances will become integral part while ad-dressing the consumer needs in Fiji,” Mr Patel said.

“ What distinguishes Bosch home appliances from other brands is quality,

durability, performance, German heritage since 1886 and continuous innovation in

technology and research ”

memory laneWHEN Robert Bosch

founded his compa-ny 130-years-ago, who would have thought that Bosch as a brand would one day be a global leader and trendsetter in all it’s fi elds of diversifi ed business.

Founding his company in the year 1886 in Stuttgart which is today the eighth larg-est city in Germany, Robert Bosch was a humble man with exceptional entrepreneurial skills.

A visionary leader who led his team of dedicated staff by setting good examples, Robert always valued his staff and customers alike, often going to great lengths to ensure a loyal and dedicated team of staff and satisfi ed customers.

The company initially spe-cialized in precision mechan-ics and electrical engineering with more focus on automo-tive parts from 1901 onwards.

It was not until 1933, nine-years before Robert’s death that Bosch diversifi ed into the home appliance and white goods market manufactur-ing their fi rst refrigerator that year.

“As history records, there has been no looking back for Bosch in this segment of the market,” Motibhai Group marketing executive Sujan Patel says.

“Today Bosch is the largest

home appliance manufacturer in Europe, and the 2nd largest worldwide,” Mr Patel adds.

He said Bosch’s product portfolio spans the entire spectrum of modern house-hold appliances that includes everything from stoves, ov-ens, extractor hoods, dish-

washers, washers, dryers, refrigerators, and freezers to small appliances like vacuum cleaners.

“This makes Bosch the only full-range provider of home appliances globally and we are proud to bring it in Fiji for our customers.”

Robert Bosch in 1925. In 1933, Bosch produced his fi rst home appliance, a 60 litres refrigerator which was an instant success in Germany.

I’ve always been guided by the principle that it’s better to lose money than

to lose trust - Robert Bosch 1861 - 1942
