The Glebe House, GlenkeenIn 1785, a few years after the erection of the Protestant Church in Borrisoleigh (which was located where St. Brigid’s Cemetery istoday), Glebe House was built as a residence for the Protestant Minister. After the execution of the Act of 1869 many local Protestantbusiness families left the parish, while others joined the Catholic Church. The Protestant Church was closed and Glebe House wassold in 1870 to Martin Ryan, an ancestor of the present-day owners.
