MISSOURI DISASTER RECOVERY
JOBS PROGRAM
• The Division of Workforce Development applied
for this National Emergency Grant
• Small grant that will allow 5 individuals an
opportunity for employment to assist with debris
cleanup on four levees in Lincoln County
• Initial goal is to help these individuals find full
time employment after the project is finished
with Career Center staff assistance

604(b) WATER QUALITY PLANNING
• Inventory on-site wastewater systems within the region to identify areas of heavy concentration of systems that are contributing to water degradation and to develop plans to help abate the contamination
• Inventory includes:

• 19 foreclosed homes purchased
• 10 homes rehabbed and sold
• 5 homes rented

REVOLVING LOAN FUND - EDA
• 23 loans made to support business
expansion
• $1,858,000 in loans
• 248 jobs have been
created/retained

Small Business Incubator Feasibility
Analysis-EDA BRPC will conduct a feasibility study to develop a small business incubator to serve the region, the study will: • Evaluate the industry clusters that are emerging in the region • Evaluate the labor market to gauge entrepreneurialism in the
region • Develop a recovery strategy focusing on entrepreneurialism for
the heavily impacted construction trades labor sector
The feasibility analysis will include peer learning, examining best practices, and developing a conceptual plan that includes physical and operational preferences.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
City of Jonesburg – CertainTeed Corporation
• Received a Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $1.5 million
• Received EDA funding in the amount of $1.9 million
The project will construct a rail spur and extend utilities to the site. The company
will invest $100 million in private funds and will create 100 jobs.
City of Troy – Bodine Aluminum, Inc.
• Received a Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $350,000
• Received EDA funding in the amount of $757,000
The project will make improvements to Cherry Blossom Way. The company will
Invest $10 million in private funds and will create 35 jobs.
