Tim Bergling (born 8 September 1989), better known by his stage name Avicii is a Swedish DJ, remixer, and record producer. Avicii ranked 3rd on DJ Magazine’s annual Top 100 DJs in 2011, 2012 and again in 2013.He has been nominated twice for a Grammy Award for his work on “Sunshine” with David Guetta in 2012 and in 2013 for his song “Levels”. His other hit singles are “Wake Me Up” and “Hey Brother”.
Avicii’s logo is inpired by shapes and initials of his
first name. The logo can be described as simple, plain,
classy and solid. The logo is built on an distinct
modular design. This choice was made for both
character and practical reasons. The modular design allows for easy
rearrangement of the logo into different medias.
LOGO EXPLORATIONS
After various explorations and trials. The final logo was based on dynamic shapes of
triangles incorporated into typographics letter of AVICII’s initials.
I chose a typographic approach to his logo because Tim ‘s screen names AVICII has given him the sort of recognition he has
got today, making him popular among his friends.
The logo is a part of his popular approach and gives an identity to the screen name
of his.
