Public Administration is a key component of government structure and is a growing profession in the country. Whitestone College has therefore expanded by introducing a new department, The department of Public Service Studies.

The Department of Public Service Studies is aiming at producing knowledgeable, multi-skilled workers who are able to contribute to improved productivity and efficiency within the government institutions. the Department of Public Service Studies also has processes in place to provide the means for current workers to go through recognition of prior learning (RPL) and achieve a nationally recognised qualification.

Currently two qualifications are offered in this department, National Certificate in Public Administration NQF Level 4 and 5. These programmes are approved and certified by Public Service Sector Education and Training Authority (PSETA) The program approval number is P21/1016/GP723
