‘How to Write Your Business Book in 5 Days…or Less'

Great News!

You’ve decided to write your book. Many congratulations.

The following pages give you a clear and easy-to-use template to capture your ideas.

Important Note: When you’re in ‘creative mode’ - DON’T EDIT!

Just let the ideas flow and then go back later and see if what you captured is the message you really wanted to share with your reader.

The number of chapters in your book can be as many or as few as you decide. You can have a two chapter book or a 50 chapter book. Your book can’t be too long - only too boring. After all people read War and Peace! I’ve read Ayn Rand’s ‘Atlas Shrugged’ 9 times and it’s 1072 pages in 9 point font!

In the same vein the number of tips in each chapter can be as you decide. Have 3 tips or 13 tips - whatever feels right and gets your message over to your reader.

I’ve given you space to capture other ideas to go into your completed tips booklet or book - such as: diagrams or quotes.

And remember: Add in a promotion and a call to action.

Making Money with Your Knowledge

Don’t stop at a tips booklet or book. Supply your knowledge, experience and expertise in a variety of different formats to suit how your client wishes to learn. You can create audio or video, multi-media and online and offline programmes to your heart’s content.

Consider what message you want on the back of the book. The piece about you, as the author, is called ‘the blurb’ and here’s an opportunity for you to state your credentials, experience, knowledge and expertise.

The word "blurb" was coined in 1907 by American humorist Gelett Burgess (1866–1951)

You may want to consider having an ‘acknowledgements’ page at the start of the book and testimonials on the back cover.

Do an advanced search on Google. Click the cog shaped wheel on the top right of the Google Images page and select ‘advanced search’. On the page that opens - scroll to ‘usage rights’ on the left and in the drop down menu select ‘free to use or share, even commercially’ and search again. This will show you numerous images you can use.
