Book Shares The first book reports are due January 17 th . The student’s chosen book is due in school on January 9 th so that the written part of the project can be completed at school (the summary). Students are responsible for preparing a project at home that is due the 17 th . Projects should be thoughtful and rehearsed. Students will have an opportunity to take their summaries home on Friday, January 13 th to practice their oral speaking. We will discuss this further in school and if you have any questions please review the book share handout sent home in September. Student of the week: Pixie Although at times sneaky and mischievous, Pixie always puts a smile on our face. She loves coming to school and has outstanding listening ears. Pixie knows the importance of making a good choice and strives to be on the “nice” list. Pixie is someone who reminds us to always do our best! She’s become a member of our classroom family and will be missed dearly. We love you Pixie! Keep up the great work and be sure to update the big guy! A Piece Of Pie NLE is running a food drive to help those in need through December. Please donate any non-perishable food items that you can. I’m even offering a 5 DOJO point incentive for each item brought in. ‘Tis the season for giving! Happy Birthday to: All who celebrate! The students who I met in August have become stronger academically, they have become more independent, and more importantly they are developing into amazing young boys and girls with big hearts and a love for learning. I am so very blessed to have a class full of amazing students with wonderful supportive parents. Thank you for helping make the last 4.5 months a joy! Here’s to 2017 and all it entails! Party Contribution o If you haven’t already, please send in your $25 party contribution. The winter party is 20 days away! o No lunch needed Dec. 21 st .
