Book Shares The first book reports are due January
17th. The student’s chosen book is due in school on January 9th so that the written part of the project can be completed at
school (the summary). Students are responsible for preparing a project at
home that is due the 17th. Projects should be thoughtful and rehearsed.
Students will have an opportunity to take their summaries home on Friday, January 13th to practice their oral
speaking. We will discuss this further in school and if you have any questions
please review the book share handout sent home in September.

What we are learning this week:
Notes from the teacher: • Goodbye 2016
o It is hard to believe this is the last newsletter of 2016 but when reflecting back, I am so proud of how much we have accomplished. The students who I met in August have become stronger academically, they have become more independent, and more importantly they are developing into amazing young boys and girls with big hearts and a love for learning. I am so very blessed to have a class full of amazing students with wonderful supportive parents. Thank you for helping make the last 4.5 months a joy! Here’s to 2017 and all it entails!
