BOOK REVIEW ON “CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL” Jack Canfield Mark Hansen

A Chicken Soup for the Soul story is an inspirational, true story about ordinary people doing extraordinary things. It is a story that opens the heart and rekindles the spirit.

Chicken Soup for the Soul stories have heart, but also something extra ...an element that makes us all feel more hopeful, more connected , more thankful, more passionate about life in general

A good story covers the range of human emotion

Spread love everywhere you go A magic formula for success is love I have learned courage because I’ve had

inspiring teachers When our dream come true, with all the

love and attention that is lavished upon us Smile saved a life

Goal setting is the strongest force for human motivation.

We can do anything if we put our focus on how to do it rather than on why we can’t

Anyone who can shake the earth, can conquer a piddling little disease, can’t they?

Don’t let anyone steal your dreams. Follow your heart, no matter what

We learn to do something by doing it Learning is finding out what we already

know Everyone’s thanksgiving, not for the

materials things given to us but for the chance, in whatever small way, to give others

Start with yourself

What you are is as important as what you do

STATEMENT-:Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal.

An example in support of above statement -:

When Peter J. Daniel was in the fourth grade, his teacher Mr. Philips constantly said, “Peter J.Daniel, you're no good, you're a bad apple and you're never going to amount to anything.”

He was illiterate up to the age of 26 and after that he worked hard & published a book named-: “Mr. Phillips, You were wrong.”

A story of a man who suffers many failures in it’s early days of life..

He was addicted to the edge, may be the thing he felt most insecure about- “his mind”- was what he needed most to have admired.

May be that’s why, in 1961, he became a teacher.

Don’t worry about failure. Worry about the chances you miss when

you don’t even try.

The message what the author wants to convey is that, “It doesn’t meant whether you successed or failed, what matters is the effort put in by you for a particular work assigned.”

Everyone of us had got a special talent. What we need is to identify it and work on

it. The story tells that how Roger able to serve

differently during his tennis playing because of some in-differences in his fingers by birth.

It tells us how to make our drawbacks into strengths.

Chicken Soup for The Soul inspires and helps us remember the important things in life – Love, Connection and Gratitude
