The premier event of Bonsai Week. Watch the sunset from the amazing Village Centre and see the National Bonsai and Penjing Collection under lights.
Marvel as Tony transforms a stock tree into a bonsai masterpiece, then have a chance to bid on that very tree at auction. Other auctions will happen throughout the evening.

To celebrate the beauty of bonsai across the world, the National Bonsai and Penjing Collection at the National Arboretum is hosting a week of special events.
Enjoy daily demonstrations and curator-led tours of the Collection, an exhibition of handmade bonsai pots, presentations by international Bonsai Artist, Mr Tony Tickle, and a Gala Cocktail Evening Demonstration and auction.
About Tony Tickle
Tony specialises in native European trees, especially hawthorn, yew and
pine. A professional bonsai artist, he demonstrates at major events across the world, is widely published and has won many awards, including Ginkgo awards. Tony is a past Director of Bonsai Clubs International and Bukex North. He presents bonsai in creative and unusual ways, courting controversy and praise.
