More than 270 destination weddings professionals from North America attended to Love Mexico 2012, from November 30th to Dec 3th 2012 in the Riviera Maya. In its fourth consecutive year, Love Mexico Riviera Maya increased by 30% the number of wedding organizers attending
Love Mexico is the only specialized event to promote Mexico as a destination for weddings and romance. The event consists of an excellent educational program with the participation of international personalities that provide extraordinary material and training to Wedding Planners and Travel Agents focused in destination weddings and business meetings between representatives of Mexican destinations, resorts and related services and North American destination wedding professionals.
Spectacular events were presented by the host hotel, the Iberostar Grand Hotel Paraiso, including a Mexican Party with mariachis, performances, margaritas and a gourmet buffet and beautiful décor. For the final night, the participants were surprised with an amazing dinner by the beach with a fabulous band, a 5 course deluxe dinner and fireworks.
The participants had the opportunity to visit several resorts in the destination through a dine-‐around and they were able to discover the neighbor city of Cancun during the 2 nights post-‐tour offered to all the participants

The average cost of a destination wedding is $ 20.890 dls. The 70% of weddings are performed in E.U.A. while 30% is done outside E.U.A. The Caribbean (39%), Mexico (24%), Hawaii (20%) are the three largest recipients of destination weddings outside the U.S. 51% of the destination wedding couples use a wedding coordinator.
