Veteran employee profile
Alex Cole
“During my career with the U.S. Air Force, I had the distinct opportunity to fly multiple Boeing products. For me, Boeing has helped make the transition smooth. The biggest surprise has been the high level of teamwork here. It’s great to be surrounded by veterans and other Air Force Academy graduates while doing work that I love. I hope to spread the word about opportunities to other military members looking to make the transition.”

Veteran employee profile
Bengie Secuskie
“In 2009, I began preparing for my separation from the military and for life as a civilian. I was part of the U.S. Army stationed in Fort Lewis, Washington, and I thought that Boeing would be a great next step for my career.
In the Army, I primarily worked on helicopters, so I lacked some of the experience needed for contract jobs supporting the Navy, Air Force and Marines with Boeing. However, I kept in contact with a Boeing hiring manager, who really stuck with me and guided me in gaining the experience I needed to join his team.
Eventually, he hired me as a contractor through a company supporting the Navy pilot training program — my first job in fixed-wing aircraft. During this time, I realized even more that being with Boeing was what I wanted.
I’m now a full-time Boeing employee, and I often think about how someone I never met stayed with me to help me reach my goal. I will always be grateful for the time he took to bring me aboard such a great company.”
