CHRISTMAS PROGRAMME
Bring along stationery to the Christmas Fest. on Thursday, 8 December at the Pinetown Civic Centre and support the Abantwana Benkosi Pre- Primary School in Clermont. The school caters for children between 3-6 years old.

It’s that time of the year, when we try to bring a little Christmas cheer to the children from Clermont and the adults who come to our soup kitchen, by giving them a little something for Christmas. If you are able to contribute towards a gift, please place in the foyer or drop off at the church office. We need toys (old or new!), clothing, toiletries, stationery and sweet treats.

Discipleship Training 2012Consider signing up for Discipleship Training next year. Sessions are led by Shane and take place on the last Sunday afternoon of the month from 4-5.30pm in the boardroom and are geared to help you grow in your knowledge of God, his word, history and day to day life. Manuals are provided and learning takes place in a group among friends - you are welcome. Email [email protected] to sign up or for more info.
THE GOSPEL IN LIFE - by Tim Keller
The Gospel in Life is a 8 session course on DVD with study guide on the gospel and how it is lived out in ALL of life - first in your own heart, then in your community and then out into the world. Christmas and the Mission of God
What an awesome time Christmas is! And I don't only mean because of presents! It's awesome because Christmas is the time when we remember the coming into our world of the Son of God: Jesus Christ, as a child born in Bethlehem. His incarnation is a great lesson in missional living.
Jesus was sent by the Father into this world for a very specific task: to save it. BUt it doesn't end there.... “as the Father sent me, so am I sending you...” (Jn 20:21). We too are sent ones brothers and sisters, all believers are! And we have been sent with the mission of bringing the saving love of God to the world. Christmas is about us being sent like Jesus was...
But notice for a moment how Jesus came, he didn't come as a conquering war lord brandishing swords, he didn't come as a clever slick-mouthed politician, he didn't come with arrogance, pomp, entitlement or self agrandizement....
he came as a 'weak', vulnerable, limited, dependent child, born out of wedlock and at a time when the king of the day (Herod) wanted him dead. He came into a world hostile to him and yet he brought light and life to it.
He loved the world, even though the world rejected him (John ch1). Christmas is about being sent into a world with the love of God as weak, dependant, vulnerable and limited disciples filled with humility and hope and yet in an extraordinary way being the salt and light of the earth. To whom, in particular, have you been sent? A work mate? A family member? A particular circle of friends?
Christmas is an awesome time of the year an opportunity to reflect on the mission of God and the birth of our Saving King. “As the father has sent me, so am I sending you....”- Jesus
The 2011 Graduation and Presentation Ceremony will be held at Trinity Church Pietermaritzburg on Saturday, 10 December 2011 at 10am. All are welcome.
By the grace of God, this year we have eight graduating students, all of whom have either achieved a commendation or distinction pass.
A special thank you to all who have been praying and have contributed to this richly rewarding ministry, all to the honour and glory of our Lord.

GRIEF SUPPORT Rosalie Burke has started a GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP for anyone who is grieving the loss of a loved one.The group meet at 10a.m. on Tuesdays in the Counselling room at the Church office.
