We are not so different, common experiences shared bind souls together, all with the gossamer threads of Love. I used to think that if I was who I am, if I showed weakness or sadness people would turn away, and not want me in their lives anymore. Now I realize that it is the very act of sharing, truly, from the heart and soul, that brings more love into your life, that binds people together. We may think no one understands, yet all we have to do is reach out a hand, share, and you find many hands, hearts and souls who not only understand, but have gone through much the same life experiences as you have. More and more I see, the more open and loving you are, the more comes your way to love. And that is a good thing! So in our deepest selves, we are not so different, you and me.

1.2 // TOOL “DISGUSTIPATED”
And the angel of the lord came unto me snatching me up from my place of slumber
And took me on high, and higher still until we moved to the spaces betwixt the air itself
And he brought me into a vast farmlands of our own midwest
And as we descended, cries of impending doom rose from the soil
One thousand, nay a million voices full of fear
And terror possesed me thenAnd I begged
“Angel of the Lord, what are these tortured screams?”
And the angel said unto me“These are the cries of the carrots, the cries
of the carrots! You see, Reverend Maynard, tomorrow is harvest
day and to them it is the holocaust.” And I sprang from my slumber drenched in
sweat like the tears of one million terrified brothers and roared
“Hear me now, I have seen the light! They have a consciousness, they have a life
they have a soul! Damn you!
Draw on both sides of the line, not just what you’re enclosing. The shape you’re making on the outside is as important as the one you’re making on the inside.” Leon Polk Smith
