The Fitzgerald-Ben Hill Co. Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors met on Thursday, June 20, 2013
at 12:00 p.m. in the chamber’s boardroom.
Chairman Jason Holt called the meeting to order.
A motion was made by Director Wyndi Damato to accept the May 16, 2013 minutes, Hal Wiley 2nd
.
Motion carried.
Director Debra Weil presented the financial report for May 2013. Philip Jay made motion to accept the
financial report as presented. Wyndi Damato 2nd
. Motion carried.
New Business:
Director Warren Manley resigned from Phoebe-Dorminy Medical Center. For now, he is still a board
member, and no action was taken to remove Mr. Manley from the BOD.
Chairman Holt welcomed Zack Rogers, Xavier Vega, Ashley Morris & Mary Ellen Pair to the BOD
meeting.
Committee Reports:
Goals should be made by each committee. Board members should let the staff of the Chamber know of
any updates on their “Goals & Objectives.”
Retail Committee: Director Hal Wiley reported J. Engelmann Men’s Store was the June 2013 “Business
of the Month.” The committee is working on finding a date for the “Membership Networking Lunch.”

The Colony Cash program is going well. More members are participating.
Fund Raiser: The 5th Annual Casino Night will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013.
Economic Development: Christy Cobb reported that surveys have gone out to all the industries on work
ethics.
Community Revitalization: Mark Massee reported that over the years the committee just did a basic
community cleanup around downtown and streets. Now the committee is working more on the entrances
to the community. The next community cleanup is scheduled for the 1st weekend in November. Louie
Harper reported that the committee is making progress with the help of Jason Miller of the places that
need the most work. Let the committee know of any places that you might think needs attention.
Dates to remember: July 4, 2013 – Celebration at Paulk Park
July 18, 2013 – Next BOD Meeting
There being no other business the meeting was adjourned.
