Why? and Results

✤ We were given this assignment to create a boat, find the mass, and some forces that would make the travel at a speed and to also be balanced when it would be sailing. !

✤ After many weeks of planning and calculating the forces, as a team, we looked up the formulas on how to solve the problems. We were able to balance the boat for when it sails.

Boat Design

“When creating this boat I had the idea that with all the different types of hulls we could choose from a multihull would be the best for use to make since it is the most stable. I then looked into what types of keels a multihull would have and I found out that they are just these little blocks on the bottom. did create ones like those pictured there, but they did not save so we had wyatt finish it up. I then looked into sails and made a design like this because this sail can move with the wind, as well as it can against it. I put all of this together in hopes that it would look the best that I could make it.” - Tryston Lewis
