1. CALL TO ORDER/EVOCATION 6:30PM 6:35PM
2. VISIONING Q: What is the Highest Vision or Highest Ideal for Center for Spiritual Living Tucson? A: Welcoming bustling community, Happy people, lots of them, Robust youth program; A safe inviting place; Ownership of space, solid foundation, moving in; Fun, joy, growth, prosperity, walking the talk, depth, open hearts; Changed hearts and minds to let our light shine, turn the darkness into day; Still joy, dynamic in essence, peaceful in expression, satisfying in every regard; Open space, A large, lush, bowl shaped canyon, Sunrise, Rain chains directing rainfall.
Q: What changes, evolves, or becomes as this highest vision comes into existence? A: Growth, expansion individually and collectively, diversity, new facility, under one roof; New participative community; Commitment, taking ownership, taking the lead and setting the example so that others will follow; Connection, deeper understandings, flow, balance, harmony, new patterns; Stories are seen for what they are. The past is readily let go of. New possibilities emerge; Each takes what is theirs to do and does it well, More grab hold of the philosophy and work it; A door opens, A flight of steps, Song: Peace like a River.
Q: Is there anything else that wants to be known, understood, or realized? What else? A: Open cooperative community, Moving forward toward defined goals; Support; Relax and move into the space, This is just the beginning; Stillness, patience; Why the hesitation, the doubt? How may we help you with that? What wants to be known? True Self; A ping-pong match, Song: Easy like Sunday morning.

Report. Decision & Action a. Facility Update Report of meeting with Homeowners/Property Owners Association (HOA/POA) from
October 18th: Most were strongly in favor of our proposal. Two-thirds have to approve the amendment to the Homeowners Agreement. Should not be an issue. Requirement for us to build a wall along our northern property line. Discussion of wall

Big Visionary Goal Check-in b1. Rev D on Education May fall short of our annual targets for educational offerings/attendance. The targets
were aggressive and attendance has been diminished. Continuing to ponder this. b2. Karen on Contributions
Nothing additional
b3. Sue on Newcomer's team
Action, Sue: A proposal to create a team to create a plan to present to the board at a future meeting to follow up with (not chase, torment, hunt or harass) visitors and see if we can encourage greater 'stickiness'. Sue has taken this action and begun the creation of a Newcomer's Team. She will report out on this team at the meeting. New team forming and has met. Formal proposal presented at next board meeting. Inquiry to see if Board Members are willing to staff the Information Table. Yes. Coffee with the minister was discussed. Desire for this activity, once it has been agreed, is to serve as informal/social interaction.
b4 Sue on recognized increase in QOL
Complete for now.
b5. Keith on Volunteers Complete for now. b6. Keith on Big Vision Action: Sue to provide to Keith, and Keith agreed to look at information on how to
grow churches. Awareness that the areas in which we are not meeting our targets are attendance and contributions. Discussion on ways we might shift our attention on both these important metrics.
b7. Appreciation Complete for now. b8. Small group facilitation guidelines
Moved to New Business as part of Heart Circles/MetaModel Discussion
c. Next Steps for Consolidated Community Campus Property Visits and Discussion
Facility Sharing @ UUC: Action: Visit scheduled for Oct 25 at 2pm. Keith and Dick to attend. Others Board members are welcome. Report on Temple Emanuel? Response: Rev D visited Monday, Sept 19th. Experience was positive, albeit the Jewish community is fully using their spaces seven days a week. Open Land on 22nd near Swan: Details above under facility. Other options: Junior League Kiva not available. Strong recognition of a desire to be under one roof. In the short term, one of these options will get us there. A question: Are there underutilized churches that we could occupy?
d. Follow-up on New Affinity Group
Jon heard back from proposed leader and he was no longer interested. Item closed.
e. Follow-up on Video-Recording
Karen stepped up as owner. Next testimonial queuing up and the one after that. Excitement building. Proposal for Video-recording program at next Board meeting.
f. Update on Gourmets for In Funding Team Minutes. Raised over $1,000 (if all bidders complete payments).
height—city ordinances specify six-foot wall height as standard and customary. Need notarized signatures from members of the HOA/POA, anticipate that it will take a month to accomplish that. Board felt confident enough in getting approval to go ahead with getting survey done while the signature pages are in process. Request that we bring a more detailed presentation of building plans to next year's HOA/POA meeting. In other news: the landlord of the office showed the office to a prospective buyer on October 20th.

The quarterly meeting was attended by Barbara Arissa, Jane Hooper, Cynthia Hollerbach and Britt Mbuthia. Our planned guest Karen Kiester needed to cancel. After Centering & Check In we welcomed our new team members Jane Hooper and Cynthia Hollerbach, grateful they have chosen to serve on our team!
We reviewed our total services provided from April and including September with eight congregants served: 54 calls, 27 emails, 6 cards, 4 visits, 3 meals, 6 rides, totaling 39 hours.
KALD, Kids, Animals, Life and Dreams has been the organization our team has tried to support. They were the runner up to last years winner YOTO, for CSLT’s’ monthly charitable gift. We discussed how we can help Mona Hand, and one way is by volunteering in her gift shop, freeing her up to spend more time with the teenage students, in foster care, who she is preparing for life after graduation. The students get an opportunity to help in the store, in the vegetable garden and also taking care of goats and donkeys. I will forward, the letter I received from Mona Hand with various updates and general information. Mona is hoping that KALD will be selected for next years CSLT local charitable recipient.
NEW BUSINESS Ideas and possibilities for improvements for our team. We read a short article about being a team player, channeled from Spirit by S. Giesemann. It reinforced why we are here: For the Love of unselfishly serving our CSLT congregation!
How can we communicate more efficiently with each other, when a need for help comes up? The request for help might come to me or to Janis, and we forward it to the team. That means all of us are “ON CALL”, which is equal to “ON EMAIL”. Janis doesn’t have time to follow up, and if I don’t get a response, I will do it. One suggestion was, to have a Contact Person in each of our 3 location/areas. That means that Janis and myself would contact those 3 members, and they would forward the letter to the people in their area. If no response, they will need to contact them by phone. Something to discuss next time, we want to make it flow easy. What is MOST IMPORTANT FOR US, when it comes to communicating, is to respond to emails in a timely manner, since we are a team “ON CALL”.
Connecting, look at various ways we can connect: Connecting and caring goes together! We discussed how our team can assist the Ushers and be open to connect with newcomers, make them feel welcome, get to know people better in the congregation by participating in various activities etc.. The more connected everybody in the congregation is, the more caring everybody can be to each other. Also let’s not forget to connect and care about each other.

What is the highest vision, the highest ideal for the Center for Spiritual Living Tucson? Vision Core well attended, Cadre of members celebrating our love, Global reach, Many rooms full of people involved, finding meaning through their involvement with CSLT; Just play! Really play ... in possibility and let magnificence fully out; Stacked round purple lights in a column, An open gate, Bells chiming in the breeze; Saw the world from a distance with different tornados taking place. The tornados did their individual actions in their regions & eventually moved towards each other, merging into one huge tornado with a bigger eye of calm in the middle. CSLT is a calm, peaceful, confident, loving environment that welcomes expansion & greater understanding on all levels. We are one of the eyes of the different storms of chaos & confusion & we collaborate/merge with others to increase the calm & remembering of our Divinity in this world.; I saw a duck and a sandbox with toys in it; Exponential aggregation, The big wave. Swept up into the movement. Big production & presentation. We belong.; Image of a huge sun, very close, Walking on pebbles, A color: light grey, A pointed roof structure similar to the top of a pyramid but metal, A large map or blueprints unfurling, A small leafy tree, newly planted, An image of myself with a silvery rod inside me about 12" long, vertical in front of my spine., The word "Give"; a river flowing through a canyon; Children united as they laugh, dance, and celebrate around a maypole. Joy pervades the air. Blue skies and sunlight brightly tinge the air…. What changes, evolves, becomes as this vision comes into form? Bursting at the seams, youth program embraces more people of different ages, diversity (race); Mindfulness deepens and broadens, Loving Compassion grows, A full lightness of being settles into each person, More "come out and play" (Hafiz); A pyramid with a purple beacon on top, Song: Sing, sing a song, sing out loud, sing out strong, sing of happy....; KNOW & BE....I Heard Karen Drucker's chant: All is Well, I can rest, I am safe, All is Well.; Something about Handel's Messiah at Christmas time; Growing Excitement, Growing Expansion, Growing Enthusiasm; A chrome bell similar to a hotel front desk bell, The sound of gentle breathing, The word "time", Round light-colored stepping stones, A sign, similar to a speed limit sign but larger. I cannot read it, A street lamp; the dove of peace; Fresh air

encircles all as a breeze flows in through a window, sweeping out the dust and dreary remnants of the empty shell of a room. Is there anything else that wants to be known or realized? Continue to grow in love, joy and acceptance; Its a coyote heaven, Remember to let; Geese flying in formation, A big open book on a lectern; Saw concentric squares...a corner opening up and going into the next one; Red ribbon, again associated with December celebration; We have left the stone age. Our progress is inevitable. Another roof/structure shape, ribbed or corrugated. Definitely metal., A domed-shaped thing that looks like a dumpling. (???), A color: blue- like cobalt blue.; floating, rolling crystal ball, above the flowing river; Change and transformation are in the air. Energetic new leadership excitedly inspires others to hop on the merry-go-round of opportunity and reap the benefits of the ride. Joy replaces stagnation and all that does not fit releases to the nothingness from which it came. God IS good and God is seeking greater expression in a new container. Submitted, Rev D

Alternatives for Gratitude Dinner for 2017? (Sue) Deferred to planning meeting, or later. 6. Exectutive Team Meeting Report-out with Rev Donald (Deferred for Planning Meeting Decision)
Present were Dick, Holly, Sue, Donald and Keith.
Topics discussed were future plans of both ministers, with some being tentative, and temporary building options currently available for occupancy. Discussed a co-ministry set-up without an increase in ministerial budget. Keith will contact UUC for another visit. Holly will follow-up with St. Mark's. Dick will follow-up with Junior League. Briefly clarified our immediate focus which are increasing attendance and contributions.
7. Ratify Five New Members. Action: Holly, as secretary. (Sheila Campbell, Rebecca Bushner, Violet (Po) Lui-Frank, Lanisa Condello, and Susan Almonte).
Since the secretary was absent, the officers of the Board ratified the five new members. 8. Other New Business for This meeting?
