Trustee Pugliese called the meeting to order at 2:33 p.m.
1. Minutes of September 10, 2009
Trustee Gagne moved approval of the September 10,2009 minutes: Trustee Pugliese seconded the motion, and the minutes were approved.
2. Action Items
A. Voluntary Support for Higher Education Survey Reports
Fund raising reports from each university needs to be submitted to the Department of Higher Education and Connecticut Legislature every two years.
Trustee Gagne moved that the VSE Survey Reports be released: Trustee Pugliese seconded the motion and it was approved.
B. Naming of President's Wing of Engleman Hall at Southern Connecticut State University in honor of Mrs. Dorothy W. Goodwin

Trustee Gagne moved to approve the naming of the President's Wing of Engleman Hall at Southern Connecticut State University in honor of Mrs. Dorothy Goodwin; Trustee Pugliese seconded the motion and it was approved.
C. Naming of the Endowed Chair in Early Childhood Education at Eastern Connecticut State University in honor of Ms. Phyllis Waite
Trustee Gagne moved to approve the naming of the Endowed Chair in Early Childhood Education at Eastern Connecticut State University in honor of Ms. Phyllis Waite; Trustee Pugliese seconded the motion and it was approved.
3. Discussion Item: University Development Plans
The universities developed initial development plans in October 1999, with updated plans approved by the Board of Trustees in 2004. Trustee Pugliese asked that this item be placed on the February 4th agenda for further discussion. Prior to this meeting, each university should review their development plans.
4. Review of Quarterly Reports
The Vice Presidents of Institutional Advancement updated the committee on their quarterly gift income reports and highlighted their university's program success, upcoming events, and development/fundraising efforts.
5. Other BusinesslReports
A. FY09 University Naming Opportunities (Trustee Recognition and Naming of Facilities and Programs Policy)
The naming opportunities at the universities were presented to the committee for informational purposes.
B. OLR Research Report on Public College and University Foundations
The research report was presented to the committee for information purposes
On a motion by Trustee Gagne and second by Trustee Pugliese the meeting was adjourned at 3:10 p.m.
