salary rate of $4,125 to 50% time at a salary rate of $2,062.50 for Summer II, 1978.

Dr. Stanley Alexander, Professor of English, from 50% time for

at a salary rate of $3,583.34 for the term.

Mr. R. Jeff Banks, Assistant Professor of English, from 100%

for Summer I at a salary rate of $2,666.67 to 100% Summer I and

50% for Summer II at a salary rate of $4,000 for the combined term.

Dr. Kirby Duncan, Professor of English, from 50% time for

Summer I at a salary rate of $1,812.50 to 100% time for Summer I

Police Department effective April 28, 1978. Mr. Ray has taken

a position with the Garland City Police Department.

Ms. Bonnie M. Smith, Counselor for the Office of Guidance

and Counseling effective May 31, 1978. Mrs. Smith has taken

a position with the public school system.

Mr. Rodney N. Smith, Night Manager for the University Center

effective June 30, 1978. Mr. Smith resigned for personal reasons.

Ms. Hortencia C. Taylor, LVN for Student Health Services

effective May 31, 1978. Ms. Taylor's husband has graduated and

taken a position in another city.

Mr. Raymond Greene, Resident Engineer and Director of the

Physical Plant, effective July 31, 1978. Mr. Greene has accepted

employment elsewhere.

Upon motion of Regent Justice seconded by Regent Cullum with all members voting aye, it was ordered that the following requests for leaves of absence be approved:

1. Department of English and Philosophy

Dr. Warren Austin, Professor of English, effective Fall

Semester, 1978. Dr. Austin is requesting an unpaid leave of

absence for this semester only in order to continue his research. He will return to his 25% appointment for the Spring Semester, 1979.

Mr. I. Jarrell Rich-man, Assistant Professor of English, effective

academic year 1978-79. Mr. Richman will enroll in a Ph.D. pro gram at Texas Tech University.

with all members voting aye, it was ordered that the following changes in status be accepted:

Dr. Seburn Langham, Assistant Professor of Agriculture, from a salary rate of $15,500 to $16,000 for nine months, effective September 1, 1978. This is to correct a budget error.

2. Department of Communication

Dr. William J. Oliver, Assistant Professor of Communication,

from a salary rate of $16,325 to $16,825 for nine months, ef

fective September 1, 1978. This is to correct a budget error.

3. Department of English

Ms. Maurice Cecil, Assistant Professor of English, from a

salary rate of $17,252 to $18,002 for nine months, effective

September 1, 1978. This action is to acknowledge Ms. Cecil's many years of dedicated service to SFASU.

4. School of Forestry

Dr. Victor Bilan, Professor of Forestry, from a salary rate of

$24,462 to $24,822 for nine months, effective September 1, 1978. This is to correct a budget error.

50% to 25% teaching at a salary rate of $1,937.50 for the Fall Semester, 1978 only.

from a salary rate of $21,200 to $21,474 for nine months, effective Fall Semester, 1978. This is to correct a budget error.

7. Student Affairs Division

Ms. Amelia D. Johnson, Financial Aid Counselor II at $8,304 to

Coordinator of Federal Programs at $10,188 for twelve months, effective September 1, 1978.

Mr. Gary Rushing, Assistant Food Production Supervisor I at

$8,892 to Assistant Food Production Supervisor II at $9,528 for twelve months, effective May 1, 1978.

Ms, Sherrie A. Stockwell, Postal Clerk II at $3.10 per hour to

Assistant Manager for the University Postal Services at $7,500.00
