These add or subtract from a motion or changeit in some way. Formal meetings may needamendments proposing and seconding.

These are of two types.

•Constructive- addition only•Wrecking- designed to change whole base

Both be resolved before original Motion isAdopted or Rejected

These are interjections to the formal proceedings of the meeting

• to indicate breach to agreed rules (POO)• to correct something said but factually incorrect

1 Any motion should be proposed & seconded before discussion starts

2 Chairman –restate the motion after proposal to make it ruled in order

3 Only one motion can be considered at a time

4 A main motion can be disposed of by a subsidiary motion

5 A privileged motion is one that calls for immediate action

6 A motion to consider a previous vote must be made by some one on winning side

7 When some one calls for previous question, it is a suggestion to end discussion & vote
