OVERVIEW.The new BMW S 1000 XR. The sports tourer that the streets have been waiting for. The BMW S 1000 XR is as comfortable on longer journeys as it is on sporty rides down winding roads. It uses the same four-cylinder engine found in the S 1000 R and delivers a powerful 160 hp (118 kW). ABS, ASC and two riding modes (Rain and Road) all come as standard, while the Touring and Dynamic packages are available as optional extras. And if that’s not enough, choose from Pro riding modes with ABS Pro HP Pro gear-shift assist, Dynamic-ESA electronic suspension set-up, pannier mountings and more.
