Joe Bonamassa – Black Rock £12.99 £11.99 The first 15 orders get a free A2 Joe Bonamassa Black Rock poster. This album was recorded at, and named from, Black Rock Studios in Santorini, Greece. Produced by Kevin Shirley. Joe says “With this album, we wanted to explore a ‘world’ feeling. But it’s by no means a ‘world’ album. “It was the kind of record Kevin and I wanted to make. We needed to rock again a bit like on my first album. I wrote the whole thing there”.

Also Joe signed up Blues legend BB King for a duet on his new album. The song they perform together is a rendition of the Willie Nelson-penned song,

‘Night Life’, which appeared on King’s 1967 album ‘Blues Is King’. Shirley says about the experience, “This is a rollicking Stonesy-vibe version of the Willie Nelson song on which BB King duets with Joe, both vocally and on his famous Lucille guitar. What a joy and an honour to work with the legend who is possibly the pivot point and unifying musician between Blues and Rock’’. Joe has described the experience of recording BB King ‘as the thrill of my life’. Other tracks appearing on Black Rock include Jeff Beck’s ‘Spanish Boots’, Leonard Cohen’s poetic ‘Bird On A Wire’, Otis Rush’s ‘Three Times A Fool’, Bobby Parker’s ‘Steal Your Heart Away’, Blind Boy Fuller’s ‘Baby, You Gotta Change Your Mind’, John Hiatt’s ‘I Know A Place’, and James Clark’s ‘Look Over Yonders Wall’, as well as the originals ‘When The Fire Hits The Sea’, ‘Quarryman's Lament’, ‘Wandering Earth’, ‘Athens To Athens’ and ‘Blue and Evil’. Johnny Winter - Live Bootleg Series Volume 6 £13.99 - Red, Hot and Smokin’ are only some of the words to describe the Live Bootleg Series Volume 6, the latest hand-picked collection of super rarities from the master blues rocker Johnny Winter’s own archives. This time around, Johnny finds some very incredible performances which pay homage to some of his favourites like Ray Charles’ ‘Blackjack’, Freddie King’s ‘Sen-Sa-Shun’ and a very rare extensive bonus track discovery of the BB King’s classic ‘It’s My Own Fault’. While clocking in at almost fifteen minutes, this and the other lengthy tunes collected make this a very enjoyable CD to the true Johnny Winter fan in all of us. This collection also includes some very rare photographs from his personal collection, new liner notes, and the stamp of authenticity as only you would expect from the man, the legend, the bluesman himself, Johnny Winter. Rock On!
