The Demographic Pro� le Viewer provides visualization of key demographic

data within school districts for the entire nation. This new web map provides

policymakers, education professionals, and the public a unique way to better

understand patterns in our school systems. Developed by Blue Raster and

partner Sanametrix, the application works on mobile and desktop devices

seamlessly.

HRSA - UDS Mapper udsmapper.org

Blue Raster contributed to the development of UDS Mapper for the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Created using Esri ArcGIS Server and deployed on the Amazon Cloud (EC2), this mapping application provides current data on the geographic reach and growth of federally (Section 330)-funded health centers. HRSA sta� and policy makers use this interactive tool to identify populations who remain unserved by these health centers and to inform decisions regarding grants. UDS Mapper took � rst place in the Web-Based GIS Application category at the 2011 Esri International User Conference’s User Software Applications Fair.

To provide the global community with new ways of visualizing Demographic and Health Surveys data, Blue Raster collaborated with USAID and ICF International to develop the new STATcompiler. This interactive application supports The DHS Program project, which assists in the collection and dissemination of global health data. Users can create maps, graphs, scatter plots and other visuals to compare health survey results over time. Visuals can be customized with data from 70 countries and thousands of health indicators and demographic characteristics, including age, education, and wealth. STATcompiler will increase the use of current information in policy decisions and allow for accurate program monitoring.

U.S. National Arboretum Botanical Explorer (ABE) allows visitors and researchers to explore the Arboretum grounds and collections through a searchable database and interactive maps for the � rst time. It includes more than 30,000 plant records and information on more than 60,000 specimens (plant leaf or cutting). Users create maps that show the location of speci� c plants or points of interest and build reports with photos and attributes of a particular plant to plan their visits and support research.
