BEFORE Visiting the Website,

documents you’ll needGovernment issued photo ID of the parent/legal guardian

assisting in the registration with the student.

When scanning, this document must be clear and visible.

We recommend that you scan using the app GENIUS

SCAN – PDF Scanner (Apple) (Android) go to

help.thegrizzlylabs.com if you need assistance.

The student MUST be the one registering to receive the

certificates of completion.

The certificates must be in the STUDENT’S name from

nfhslearn.com – there are three areas – instructions to

follow

FHSAA InstructionsBAND REQUIREMENTS: The website below must be

viewed by each band member for the 2020-2021 school year at Bloomingdale High School.

Follow these instructions so you can properly view and finish the process. First, go to the following website.

www.nfhslearn.com at the top right, select Register

STUDENT must create an account (NOT PARENT)

When the student registers, make sure you select Bloomingdale High School in Valrico, FL

Select MUSIC and tap FINISH

Under the NFHSLEARN FOR YOU tab, go to STUDENTS

Fill out the “Additional Information” making student is selected

Select Courses at the top of the page.

Under the left “Filter Courses” – select Student

Scroll through the courses until you find the following

THREE FREE courses, all three can be ordered at this

time

Concussion for Students…Concussion in Sports, click

Checkout – remember, it’s free. (If a “Membership for

Coaches” pops up, click the “x” to remove it.) On the “your

order” screen, click the “I agree” statement and

CONTINUE. You can print a receipt if you’d like.

Heat Illness Prevention…The same instructions as above

Sudden Cardiac Arrest…The same instructions as above

Don’t go on until your child has watched

the three videos and has the certificates.

Course Completion

Once you’ve completed all three courses, download the

certificates, put the three documents into ONE file using

one of the following methods:

Take a picture with all three documents in one picture

ensuring to not cut off any edges

Use a scanning app, such as Genius Scan to scan the

documents into one PDF file.

Student Information Page Uploads This is where you upload 2 things: 1) the picture of the PARENT ID and 2) all 3

video certificates in ONE file. If you try to upload the certificates as individual pictures, only 1 will actually upload.

BOTTOM for the student.

Packets are often rejected because a parent name appears in all boxes on the

page. Read all boxes carefully before signing.

Completing the Packet Once you have submitted the packet, you will receive an email letting you know

the process has been started.

The APA at the school, Dr. Francis, must review and approve the packet BEFORE

your student is cleared to participate in outside practice, games, or other extra

activities.

In your student’s profile, you can see it says CLEARED or UNCLEARED. You

will be notified by email once the application is cleared or if corrections need to be

made to your application.
