Who is our Target

Audience?Our audience mainly consists of youthful teenagers,however that is not the sole audience for Blood Of Purity.We also want to attract an art-crowed, as our thriller is anIndi/art thriller, it is not mainstream, nor commercial, so wewant to target an audience who will be interested in our

thriller, our cinematography, not just sit through a highconcept thriller not having to think or engage their brainsat all.

Further, we feel we will attract an older, most probablymale audience, as our thriller is based on a true story,

which circled in the news, the generation who witnessedthe story circle in the news will share interest in our thriller.

ActorsThe actors we have chosen in our thriller we casted for actingability purposes as well as their looks.

It is important, in any film to have the heroin which the audience(especially male) will root for and want to support. This isachieved, most prominently through what the actor looks like-this is why we chose Ellie. As Ellie is a blonde, good looking girl

with a good, appealing physique. Men will be attracted to herand want to see her and consequently our film. This can beexhibited in films such as Transformers with actors such asMegan Fox and Rosie Huntington-Witley.

Further, for a female audience, George, our artist, is a strongactor will a broad physique, this will attract the female audience

in the same way Ellie attracts the males. This can be exhibited inactors such as George Clooney and Brad Pit.

Violence and Action

What we found our from questionnaires andespecially from our Perfect Audience Member Will,violence and action are key themes in a Thriller-especially In attracting the male audience, this will be

exhibited in our thriller. If we were to make the wholefilm, we would incorporate fighting sequences,burning sequences, fires, explosions and the classicpolice vs victim element. This will attract the maleaudience who wish to see a fight scene and enjoy theSchardenfreudic effect of the happiness at themisfortune of others.

The Horror Element:

Setting:As our setting is in a secluded, lost andneglected house, it adds the horror element or

seclusion. Further, having the house only lit by

candle light, will make the night sequences morefrightening- especially as there is no escape or

safety from the girl calling the police if she gets

out of her room. This horror elements attracts an

audience outside of the classic thriller audience.

Narrative ActionOur Thriller shares similar narrative actions and themes tofilms such as The Human Centipede, Se7en and May-audiences who like these films will see reviews of the filmswhich compare the thrillers and they will want to see thethriller. It further has elements of horror, so the audiencewill be widened.

As our thriller is prominently a psychological thriller- it willattract an audience who want to think about the movie, not

just watch it. This will attract a reasonably intellectualaudience who will enjoy having to figure out what is goingon in the film: this could attract audiences similar to ones in

films such as Inception- a film where the audience had tobe fully engaged to understand the plot.
