‘’Blood Donation Camp 2017-18’’

Report

NSS Unit from Dayanand College of Pharmacy organised “Blood Donation

Camp” within the campus in association with Dr. Bhalchandra Blood Bank Latur dated on

26/2/2018. Seminar hall was arranged for blood donation where Inauguration of camp was

done by Dr.Bellale.S.S. Vice-Principal of Dayanand Science College along with Mrs. Satpute

K.L. Vice-Principal of the Institute. One of the rooms was utilized for a thorough medical

check-up of potential donors, as well as the donation itself, separate halls were arranged for

girls and boys where donors could lie down and recuperate for a while before they leave

venue. They were provided with glucose water and food including biscuits, a banana.

Separate arrangements for girls and boys were made by Blood Bank and their team members

Around 41 blood donors actively participated in the camp including staff members from the

campus and donated their blood in quantity of 350ml each. NSS Unit Volunteers arranged the

camp and took all the responsibility to run smoothly and successfully under the guidance of

NSS In-charge Prof.Waghmare.R.S.
