This is a very basic introduction to blogging.TRANSCRIPT

Brand yourself or your company Increase traffic Connect with people Position yourself expert in your industry Creating linkworthy content builds backlinks
Date header: The date the post is written. Usually posts are presented with the most recent post first.
Title: Give your post a catchy title, but think about SEO also (we’ll discuss this in more detail later)
Time stamp: Time stamp – the time your blog is posted.
Post: The body of your blog post… usually a paragraph, could be in picture or video form. Sometimes keywords are bolded, to make the post “scannable,” or easier to read quickly
Author name: The name, or nickname, of the person who wrote the blog post.
Category: Usually each post is placed as part of a category, so when a reader wants to find posts on the same subject, it is easy to do so.
Comments: Where people leave thoughts/reactions/answer questions asked about the blog post.
TrackBack: When someone shares the link to your blog post, it will be recorded in the track backs
Calendar
Archive by name (nice name), category or month
Tagging with relevant keywords
Promoting via social media
Linking to relevant content or where you got data you’re referring to
Plug-ins (All-in-one SEO, Feedburner Feedsmith [RSS feed], Social Bookmarking Reloaded, Wordpress Mobile)
If you’re using WordPress there are a ton of plug-ins to use
Fresh, new content Write with keywords in mind Build links to your blog post (commenting) Link to internal pages Write title for SEO purposes, though it should
be catchy as well – keyword should be at the beginning of the sentence
Make sure the following are filled out: title tag, alt image text, heading tag, meta description, meta keywords
Submit your stories to Google news (http://www.google.com/support/news_pub/
Google News accepts blogs with multiple authors
Branding. Build brand recognition. Traffic. Traffic could lead to conversions,
which is usually the ultimate goal. Links. Get a link to your site or blog. Relationships. Expand your network. Reputation. Position yourself as an expert
in your industry.
Content. Fresh, free, relevant content. Perspective. Get another perspective on your
blog. Relationships. Build relationships with others. Learn. Learn from others in your industry. Why not? In my opinion, the positive aspects of
featuring guest posts outweigh the negative, if any. If you allow a trusted expert to post on your blog, it will benefit you and your readers.
