Wake me up when September Ends Since nine months ago when I had created this blog, I had always wanted to upgrade it. Perhaps it’s the belief that I carry a comprehensive view about the world, or maybe the inspiration from some of the legal bloggers over there; there are enough reasons to write. But the problem has been whether a conversation- a remark on righteousness is possible? Or there are mere nonversations? Here follows a post by me which attempts to ponder over these issues. It’s also a small tribute to one of my senior- Sanandan Chopra who has renounced the world & turned into a ‘Sannyasi’ in his quest for ‘the ultimate Truth’. Law School engraves an inherent power of ours -the power of interpretation. Out of all the powers that humanity is aware of; it is the mightiest of all. Lawyers are payed for their interpretation of facts & Law. But the real challenge arises when you are not getting paid, there is no desire & you don’t know which way to interpret it. Then the inner ‘Mahabharat’ arises. The urge for truth comes out. Or rather suspicion pervades, as to whether there is something like ‘the ultimate truth’. Is the concept of right or wrong really meaningful in making a decision? Or are these just hollow words for the blind statue of Justitia? And then the only thing you crave for is ‘Nirvana’. This is bound to happen with every ‘innocent’ lawyer but then the society plays its part. The rat-race, the competition, marks etc. clings and forms a thick layer in your ‘conscience’ which fades your consciousness & just the ashes of the truth remains. But whenever a lawyer will try to give a bona-fide suggestion, the inner havoc will be created. The great hollowness is bound to happen. And then another lawyer will sell his ‘Ferari’. Rarely shall a doctor or an engineer sell his ‘Ferari’, but a lawyer is supposed to medicate the ‘law’ and engineer ‘truth’ and which is the mightiest & ultimate of all task, and well, again coming back to the same issue- whether he is puissant enough to do that, or are his ways realistic?

Wake me up when September Ends

Since nine months ago when I had created this blog, I had always wanted to upgrade it. Perhaps its the belief that I carry a comprehensive view about the world, or maybe the inspiration from some of the legal bloggers over there; there are enough reasons to write. But the problem has been whether a conversation- a remark on righteousness is possible? Or there are mere nonversations? Here follows a post by me which attempts to ponder over these issues. Its also a small tribute to one of my senior- Sanandan Chopra who has renounced the world & turned into a Sannyasi in his quest for the ultimate Truth. Law School engraves an inherent power of ours -the power of interpretation. Out of all the powers that humanity is aware of; it is the mightiest of all. Lawyers are payed for their interpretation of facts & Law. But the real challenge arises when you are not getting paid, there is no desire & you dont know which way to interpret it. Then the inner Mahabharat arises. The urge for truth comes out. Or rather suspicion pervades, as to whether there is something like the ultimate truth. Is the concept of right or wrong really meaningful in making a decision? Or are these just hollow words for the blind statue of Justitia? And then the only thing you crave for is Nirvana. This is bound to happen with every innocent lawyer but then the society plays its part. The rat-race, the competition, marks etc. clings and forms a thick layer in your conscience which fades your consciousness & just the ashes of the truth remains. But whenever a lawyer will try to give a bona-fide suggestion, the inner havoc will be created. The great hollowness is bound to happen. And then another lawyer will sell his Ferari. Rarely shall a doctor or an engineer sell his Ferari, but a lawyer is supposed to medicate the law and engineer truth and which is the mightiest & ultimate of all task, and well, again coming back to the same issue- whether he is puissant enough to do that, or are his ways realistic? My encounter with Jurisprudence has indeed, maybe been the best incident of my life. Left with so many aforesaid questions I am on a different journey. A journey of exploration. Least concerned about the rat-race, I am sub-conscious. I am getting enclosed by a Samadhi. Please Wake me up when September Ends. P.S. if at all it EndsAt the end what Sanandan Sir loves saying OM Shanti? Let there be peace.:)to be continued....
