United States Government Accountability Office Washington, DC 20548 Comptroller General of the United States Decision Matter of: Latvian Connection, LLC File: B-410426 Date: October 3, 2014 DECISION Latvian Connection, LLC, of Healdsburg, California, protests the award of a sole – source contract by the U.S. Army Materiel Command under request for quotations (RFQ) No. W52P1J-14-R-0204, for staff augmentation services. We dismiss the protest because the agency has canceled the award. On October 1, 2014, the Army advised that it has taken corrective action. The Army states it has cancelled the award of the sole-source bridge contract (W52P1J-14-C- 0047) and, instead, is extending the current contract (W911SE-07-D-0014 BA 01) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) §§ 16.505 and 52.217-8. 1 The jurisdiction of our Office is established by the bid protest provisions of the Competition in Contracting Act of 1984, 31 U.S.C. §§ 3551-3556. Our role in resolving bid protests is to ensure that the statutory requirements for full and open competition are met.
